I was thinking, with the news that both Mannering and Kata are out that we lose a lot to our defensive structure.

No need to patronize people about what the loss of Mannering means.....but for all the criticism Kata cops....apart from an off game here and there ( like any center in a weak defensive matrix that doesn't communicate well)....he is a bloody determined defender.

Times like these I would rather it were Beale slotting in than a Gelling....

So to my way of thinking Lisone and his clocking off periods is not a luxury we can afford regarding his offensive .....at times....brilliance.

Remembering Lawton if he plays with his speed around the ruck is a straight swap for Lisone s leg speed.....so yeah nah use Lawton for the razzle dazzle and put a tackle bot in for Lisone.

Dude i fully agree with all your points, i wasnt saying anything about his lapses on d or his sometimes good offence, i was mearly stating a obvious fact....that currently hes out of form and i dont think we are that short of depth where we can justify overlooking that...just saying..

Running a new season competition to get us off on the right note. Most will be familiar with this comp which we run annually. Rules are simple.

Name your starting 17 and if you get it correct with the official Round 1 list announced by the club you win a 2018 jersey of your choice. Please read the full terms and conditions before entering. READING IS KEY.

RULES
​

1. Entries close 11:30pm Sunday 4th March 2018. Any entries after that will be voided.
2. All players must be named 1-17 in exactly the order they play on Saturday (10/02/18). If a player is named #18 in the #4 spot they will be considered as #4. Order is more important than number.
3. Only open to members who have been part of the forum for 3 months and made 50+ posts.
4. Only ONE entry per member. Delete an earlier post and post a new team if you must. Multiple posts will void ALL entries.
5. Any edited posts will be voided. Delete old posts and start again.
6. In the event of a draw all remaining participants will continue to name a predicted side until we have a winner.
7. Leaked team lists will void this whole competition.
8. Admin reserve the right to add or change rules at any time (only to clarify or bring more balance to the competition).

Apologies about rule 3 and 4. More a time saving issue for me as I don't want to be trawling through posts making sure no one has entered multiple times or checking edit histories. Takes too long.
