which reminds me...some inbred text Radio sport this morning to congratulate them for talking Miter ten cup before mentioning the Australian League club the Warriors.

Argentina, it's about as low key an all blacks game as they come, can never change some people's opinion, but the hypothetical union and warriors fan in Sydney would surely be more excited for this. Getting the pubs to screen it in NZ is another story.

It is finals. It all comes down to how the forwards perform and doing the fundamentals right. Completions defence and field position. So it is about what the warriors do not Penrith.

They like us have earned the right to be in the finals so will be motivated. That is as it should be.

It should be the case that SK is keeping a lid on the excitement. No good burning that energy. Games won and lost points gained means nothing now. It is slate cleaned and starts nil all and winner takes all.

All expectation is on the Panthers. If the guys can embrace the moment and get in the grind they can do it.

I havnt slept in 48 hours so forgive me if I go a bit whack on this list but one fact is true, our typical offensive playbook is not going to cut it to beat Penrith. So IMO we need to let go of some certainties in favour of scoring points and defense. We will just have to hide Hiku behind someone.

4Kings in Wellington is my best bet as they'll have one full multi screen section allocated to the Warriors game with full sound and people actually caring about the game (note to self, get a spot early!)

But most pubs around NZ you'll be lucky to get a single screen playing it while the ABs destruction of Argy rattles on in the background.

Yep I know, he lost the match and another and has finger and toe tug tackled all year. But what has he done on his return. Hes rocks or diamonds. While he is diamonds I say play him. And that is why Ive named Lawton on the bench as well. Hes a good hooker, half, centre, wing, plus he has more turn up to play intensity than most aside from the likes of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. Heck if you could put Lawtons energy and give it a go every game into Shaun Johnson you would have the first and only ever Immortal in the Aussie list lol.

In saying this, Beale has probably saved us more points then Hiku has scored plus scoring and setting up Fusitua. Tough choice, I still say Hiku and Lawton, but Beale would give you Jazz on the bench as a bonus I guess. Boy that guys the most improved player this year?

Just watched a replay of his second half Cameo.

He takes one hit up, tip toes gingerly to the line, turns full one eighty to back himself into the takle before even making contact with anyone.

Goes from there to a tackle situation, waits for two players to engage then Gingerly lies on top of the pile.

Subs himself off.

Scenes thereafter are of him in agony when trying to clap Pita Hiku scoring a Try.

Incidentally Justin Hodges thought Mannering hurt either his shoulder or groin....take a minute to let that Halligan esque incompatible logic sink in....confirming that Hodges anatomical awareness really does come from a place of being a dick - head.

Mannering shouldn't play, we need 100 % fit men out there ready to go eighty. It would not surprise to see teams lose players during these finals mid game and have depleted benches.

No point risking being down potentially two mid game.

ROFL and a good point it is. When are the warriors EVER high key in NZ. Some derby reg season games get bigger crowds than NZ home finals. That has been my whole point about aussie teams having a better exposure, 8 Rugby League dedicated TV shows, in the news every night, local fans see you in the street and say gdday or if ur manly player and lost likely the bird, the fanatasism is greater than Union in NZ. Not disrespecting the great code but honestly I watch super rugby and the in game and mid game commentary puts you to sleep and then there is sweet FA, The Rugby Channel, fair dinkum kiwi rugby fans are getting ripped off I reckon.

And thats why aussie players tend to have more intensity, plus as pointed out in the u20 section they are coached properly by multi layers of coaching levels and thats no offense to NZRL either, they do a good job on a lot of things considering the fan base. And its not just the fan base either, its the level of fan as in FANATIC in Aus, I know we have some classic members at Mt Smart, I just mean if you are a league fan in Aus you are usually fanatical about it to the point of nutty over ur club.

Thats why Ive always said they should have based the Warriors in a Warriors fan region in Australia like Eastern Suburbs Syd (lol to easts) or to be fair to easts south Brisbane, not to close to Surfers to offend Titts. But close enough to draw our fans from Bris central all the way down to south bris which is a huge kiwi pop and surfers which is pretty much like easties in Qld for kiwi fans. Hmmmm they bringing up another new team again, warriors always spilling our juniors until they ready to be bought back again lol, could give Uncle Benz a real challenge coach the CCH (probably shouldnt use crusaders, things a bit PC on such matters), ummm aside from tragic things what could you call a CCh League team? How many Welli players has that region produced for Warriors/NZ?

Steady on, lets wait and see hehe. Its a sternum, they hurt like F if you get an elbow or something pointy to it and it doesnt go away overnight but it doesnt last weeks. He hasnt fractured it surely? He wouldnt have played any more minutes if hed seriously damaged a sternum. Disclosure Im not a doctor and dont know what Im talking about aside from having mine dented twice, once not so bad, hurt for 2 days, once quite badly (the pain I mean) lasted 5 days. Again, not a doctor, somebody else might know how long his will take.

But yes I agree, if hes not up for it we have options for the bench and somebody off the bench will start. Who would you play from ISP is the question? Im presuming the extended named squad has a good enough option?

The players walking the streets thing is overstated- think I’ve seen 3 players in 5 years of living here- saw more ABs while living in Wellington for example

Yeah that is true about Bondi but so have they out of Auck. Syd prices arent much diff now. Brisbane is where its at if you want a job and cheapish house and still have good facilities. But I do have many kiwi friends in eastern suburbs. Not Bondi though.

Yes I know, its just a fantasy of mine to level the playing fields. The Warriors do have it harder no matter what any aussie says elsewise, they just dont know.

But is professional sport now really about where you are based? The Melb storm feeder clubs have been Qld and Central Coast (Norths). Nobody seems to mind that none of their players are victorians. But yes grasping at straws and dreaming. up 48 hours, halucinatiions setting in.
