There’s no point going on about the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition when your own team has such soft forwards and outside defence that can’t cope with simple stuff thrown at them.

But not buying the dragons turnaround just yet.

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. CNK
– Give him an extended run on the right wing, all other options haven’t worked. He will bring enthusiasm and workrate, what about that play when Lolohea tried to go right on attack and there was no one outside to pass to!
3. Fusitua – Bit torn on this, he’s been very quiet, when he should be an absolute weapon. Look at the size of the prick, have him run short balls off of Johnson, don’t tell me he couldn’t get the arms free and make more things happen. He and Klokstad have a good mix of size and workrate.
4. Ayshford – As a Kata fan boi, this hurts, but he has been absolute mud this year. Still think he has a long career ahead of him, but he’s fcuking up in defence and can’t see anything other than the man in front of him in attack. Give him a few weeks in a winning reserve grade team to sort it out.
5. Lolohea – Look, I like to think I was hating on him before it became popular, when people were screaming about Wright playing ahead of him, it was just choosing between 2 crap players. BUT with Vatuvei injured, he is a reasonable back up winger, because he can finish, he is quick to get in support – if we ever make another line break. Less likely to exposed on the wing. No more fullback time please god. Manu to replace him eventually, if he isn’t taken out the back for dog tucker. Poor beast. Looking like a sad end to a great career.
6. Foran – bugger it, we bought him for a good time, not a long time. Send him out.
7. Johnson
8.
Fcuk me. Every single prop would be alright coming off the bench – none of them can lay a platform at the start. Will give Gavet a go, at least he is physical.
9. Luke - Dud, but until Roache returns they don’t seem to have any faiths in the other backups, so whatever.
10. See 8, Gubb.
11. Thompson
12. Hoffman
13. Mannering
14. Maumalo
– backline injury cover, specifically Foran injury cover. He takes Loloheas wing and tui goes to wherever is needed. on the off miracle chance we get through a game without someone getting pulled off he can play some run it up the middle.
15. Afoa – good bench forward to have
16. Lillyman – if you don’t confuse him for a starting prop, he’s fine.
17. Vete try him off the bench, been a bit soft.

TL;DR

Dropped Lisone and Kata for horrendous defensive decsions and Clark cos they don’t trust him so what’s the point. Assume Vatuvei injured. Promote Gavet, Ayshford and Klokstad

I don't have a problem with those wing selections, CNK deserves his shot and would be a better option to fill in at fullback than Lolohea who indecently hasn't looked to bad when playing out on the wing. That aside I see it as a way of sticking it to our pack and saying no more Prop wingers to use as a crutch.

Our pack needs to take the ownership and responsibility on themselves and let that drive their performance.

YES... And to have Energy and controlled aggression in the style of an Adam Blair

Any update on mutts. The guy frustrates me but I would happily see that stupid skip

Here you go

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck - hopefully he's over his head-knock
2. Fusitua - unlucky to be moved from centre but I like his combo with Ayshford and we're short on quality wingers
3. Ayshford - solid player
4. Kata - classy player, needs to get back into form quick
5. CNK - seems like he's too good for reserves, give him a run and see how he goes
6. Foran - bringing him off the bench would be a waste. if he's fully fit, get him in there
7. Johnson - i think johnson's been pretty solid
8. Gavet - need some size up front to match the dragons' pack
9. Luke - to play less minutes and focus on his running game
10. lillyman - love his high work-rate, needs to break out the step he used in origin a few years back
11. Hoffman - looks a lot better with a real half inside him
12. Thompson - throw him back beside Johnson, they formed a good combo last year
13. Mannering - the man, the myth and the legend himself

14. Clark - to come on and spell luke for 20min
15. Vete - i like the energy he brings off the bench, suits him better than starting
16. P Sipley - need some size and impact
17. Afoa - to replace one of the backrowers, really liking his involvement so far... turning into a young mannering and definitely overtakes lisone and gubb

It's like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, we're at the casino down to our last hundy and we're throwing it all on black (Foran) , surprise surprise 4 rounds in and we're going to be 1 from 4, our hope and only hope is a fully fit first XVII . Once Matulino is back the only and I mean only continuous positions are 2 wingers and a centre, personally I'd give Blake and and Fusitua the centre/wing spots, couldn't really give a flying fuck who plays out Kata (he's not going to see the ball) just hope he tackles and defends to the plan.

And seriously our best XIII/XVII potentially on paper is good enough to win this competition. But that reminds me of the old joke 'Dad what's the difference between potentially and reality? Son, go ask your mother, sister and brother if they'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, they all answer yes of course. Son goes back to his Father and says Dad potentially we're sitting on 3 million dollars, realistically we're living with 2 sluts and a queer.

Nailed it! Are you up for coaching the Warriors?

I'd like to see this team. Fusitua is best suited on the wing, he can score tries out of nothing, and we all know the Warriors have nothing.
CNK deserves a shot,
We need something new up front, I'm totally over Lisone, he's had a couple of seasons and still makes rookie mistakes.
However I'm totally disgruntled and I don't see all these changes happening, the coaching staff probably think it's too early to ring changes..
Maybe when the Warriors are 1-5 it'll happen.. or 2-7.

This is a massive game for us if you think about it.

We win and it could give us the momentum to really start the season. We win this and it will 2/2 with next 2 games at home and winnable. We could be looking at 4/6 after 6 rounds...

Lose it and we're 1/3, old wounds will open up and we could be staring at a 1/6 start after all is said and done.

Massive game for Steve Kearney. Massive.

Fork i wouldnt want to be in his shoes right now....

Backs have no energy to busy trying to be forwards.. less muscle more brains in the backline, gubb trys but keeps running back into traffic and is too busy trying to think about not dropping the ball to even consider an offload, even if he did our backs are too busy catching there breath back after taking the hit ups.. we just arent used to winning, hope to see big improvements this week.

We always seem to have the most "honest" of honesty sessions... yet seldom does anything actually come of them. Let's see if this one is different.

The biggest and bravest coaching decision anyone made in the last 5 years at this place was Cappy with the Dragons game. And look how that turned out... I hope Mooks is keeping his options open to something like that should we fail this weekend.

Hoping that this CNK gets a start - read a bit about him, seems to be going well in the reserves and he deserves a chance over skippy.

Dropped:

Lolohea - isn't offering anything nor showed any urgency to rectify his poor play given the opportunity to do so with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck out.

Hingano - Makes way for Foran. Let him play his trade in our dominating NSW team. He is our future.

Gubb - deserves to be in team based on effort, but the team needs stronger running forwards.

Kata - been average first three games, poor handling, not playing smart football. Needs a demotion to refresh himself before it's too late.

In:

CNK - he had a great return for the NSW cup team today. Clearly a cut above reserve grade and even the commentator acknowledged so.

Aysford - next cab off the rank in the absence of Kata. Can bring better communication for his winger and hopefully put him into positions to score.

Foran - if he's fit he's in.

Gavet - need a prop that can run holes, stay upright and offload. Next cab off the rank who is first grade ready

Cusp:

Tof Sipley - we need what he can become asap, but is his fitness up to first grade standard yet?

Last chance:

Luke - not offering a lot. Not getting much from his pack but atleast Shaun Johnson tries, for example. In good shape but not an 80min hooker. Clark could release some pressure if he can get on!

Lisone - has great skill but really needs to Be smarter. His decision making is what's preventing him from taking the next step.

Overall:

Need more attacking options. Shaun Johnson tried a lot of things yesterday but had no one backing up. Mamaulo is showing effort every week and I reckon he will improve so he stays. Hopefully having more instinctual players in our backline aka Aysford and CNK can open up opportunities off of SJs freedom once Foz returns.

Need Foz to control the park and get his forward going.

Luke really needs to work off the back of an improved forward workload to get the ball where it needs to be, or find opportunities to be successful.

Hopefully no unplanned injuries this game so SK can use his bench effectively - a 15-20min effort from a Clark on the back of Lisone and Afoas energy could keep the intensity up once the boys get worn.

I just hope SK isn't afraid to make change - my indication is he won't be as he'd intended to drop Lolohea this week before Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was ruled out.

The lack of spark on attack needs to be rectified asap as our defense isn't good enough to win Melbourne-Style.
This:....... exactly how I see things, Kata needs a dose of reality to fight his way back, a drop from 1st grade will make him stronger for the rest of the year, Lolo needs to be dropped cant have half hearted players that dont want to put there body on the line, Not fair on the others who are.

my only change would be to start Ata and have Foran on the bench in place of Clarke.
