Because the club cannot keep chopping and changing coaches. And i understand it, despite my own opinion that he is in the same league as Tony Kemp when it comes to coaching. Like it or not, the club will perservere with him until atleast end of next season. Unless someone with lots of money comes in and takes over the warriors...

Yep an my money Is on them signing Stacey Jones next , Which is going to be
a continuation of our monumental coaching fuck ups,A real coach like Richie Blackmore
won't get a look in , The warriors old boy network is going to hamstring us until it is gone

Afoa and Lisone have their positions backwards. Afoa is too slow out wide and Lisone is too small to make an impact in the middle. Lisone could actually be quite damaging out wide running off Johnson (when he's not doing something stupid)

If this level of performance continues he cannot last next season, he will be one of the first for the chop. Any other club would be looking at a replacement now, oh I forgot, they need to find a forward pack first.

Personally I think that is an amateur mindset and excuse

Look at football, basketball, AFL true professional sports and you'll see a coach is given one season to show they're a good fit for the club.

24 games to prove your value is way more than enough time needed in the nrl

Going for a record 9 losses (at the END of the season!) tells everyone loud and clear you're not adding value but destroying it

I agree it's not good to chop and change a coach, however it's like in the workplace if an individual is not up to scratch you don't just stick with him, especially if the decision is likely to cost you supporters, investors or players and other commercial revenues. The damage can take 5 years to repair.

Unfortunately, what has happened over the last few years is that any coaching appointment has either been rushed, gone for easy decisions or procrastinated to the point that Elliott was last man standing.

SK to my mind was an easy decision, hence the reason for an even worse situation the club finds it self in.

Worse still, the brand of football is not even entertaining to watch win or lose.
