3 things will be interesting to see for me, who is our No 12, who is our starting hooker, and what is our bench make up.

Second Rower - Afoa was exposed, the dude has been a prop his whole life and is suddenly a second rower, I'm not surprised he got shown up. But TBH, I don't see a better option currently. Moving Mannering there covers 1 hole and creates 3 more IMO. Otherwise I'd chuck Lisone at lock.

Hooker - I reckon you have to go Tevaga, he hasn't let us down defensively when he's played. His service is average, but I think we have to wear it.

Bench;
- Cherrington is a must. I would have started him, but I think you're asking for trouble structure wise, not enough time at the club.
- Gavet, of course.
- Lisone.
- Pat Sipley/Satae, impact bench forward, with Sao taking more minutes, 15 of niggle will be fine. Will be interesting to see how they step up. As long as they don't sit on the bench the entire game, like SK tends to do..

Sao will probably get the last bench spot.. But he needs minutes, otherwise what's the point.

Looks a Top 4 squad on paper but we'd still come 9th somehow. But I agree with your point, we have no depth so the season's a writeoff and we're just pissing in the wind now. Good point. I can only assume they're only fit enough to hold onto 2nd or 3rd spot on the table, unlike the top side. Guess that's pretty deep

Just because they are in the reserve grade it doesn't mean they are prepared for the top side. You replace the whole top side with the ISP team and we will lose by 100 points.

It's not that they are unfit. They just aren't fit enough. Yet. That's the whole point of the reserve grade. Bringing players up to grade, developing their skill set and stamina. You know that right? Feel like I'm talking to a child TBH.

Classic example is John Palavi. 80 minute player in NSW Cup week in week out but when placed in the top side he was gassed after 10 minutes.

Hope this isn't a new conspiracy theory of yours. My tin foil hat is in the shop getting repaired.
