This is a must must must win game for Cappy surely. Maybe we should have two more musts in there that are underlined. I seriously think with the team we have and a bit of direction and confidence we could win the whole thing. Maybe Im deluded.

Is Lisone a chance to return? Manu? (im assuming that as our brilliant coach named him this week then he just missed a fitness test and therefore will be ready to go)
If Cappy is going to persist in starting Mutts off the bench then:
Gubb/Gavet/Lisone or Vete/Lillyman
Jazz/Roache
Mannering/Thompson/Hoffman/Mutts
Shaun Johnson
Lolohea
Manu
Kata
Hurrell
Blake
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

Realise thats backwards but Im done guessing Cappys use of the bench. So ive just bundled props/2nd row/hookers together.

This 17 have enough of an xfactor combined with some reliability.
Grow some balls Cappy and put the Sharks rejects experiment to bed.

I think we probably looked as good as we have for quite awhile. ..we had some good punch through the middle with good aggression, our edge defense didn't feel like it was a free pass to the try line, the effort from everyone was very good. If we hadn't lost 10 in a row I could live with a loss like that...we just got beaten by better drilled and far better coached team.

Yep, pretty much my sentiment. It's just the luck of the draw that we've had 2 top for sides within the first 3 games. It makes the loss to the Tigers hurt that much more - and in my opinion, puts a HUGE spotlight on our emphasis on the Nines. I'm seriously hoping they've realised what an absolute waste of time it is, and detriment to our seasons start, to focus that much on the Nines. Honestly, if we'd had two tough, physical trials by the time we'd hit the Tigers, we'd have played like we did against the Broncs and probably crushed them. That needs to be addressed next year.

I went with...

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. Kata
3. Ayshford
4. Allwood
5. Vatuvei
6. Johnson
7. Lolohea
8. Vete
9. Tevaga
10. Matulino
11. Thompson
12. Hoffman
13. Mannering

14. Roache
15. Lillyman
16. Gavet
17. Gubb

Allwood outplaying Konrad in reserves. We need to use Tui, he's a half not a wing let's play him where he actually plays before we turn him into another Hohaia where he never gets a true position. (Not a dig at lance btw, one of my all time fav players).

If Manu is out again... Idk Wright or Maumalo I guess. Has Fusitua been playing? I haven't noticed.

If Issac and Lisone are fit, then they're in for Tevaga & Gubb. If Roache is injured then Robson is back up 9/halves cover.

Matulino is our best prop by a mile.. So start him! He's more than an impact player - get players used to running off him right from the start, before they get conditioned to Bulls soft carries.

Would love to have Tommy fit right now, especially with Issac out. As soon as he's ready I'd want him to have Robsons spot if we aren't going to use Tui, otherwise 14 will be his jersey, ideally.

Quite a tough game, with high shots, late shots, let go on both sides by Henry P, warriors will have quite a few under a cloud.

Luke
Vatuvei
Lisone
Thompson
Roache

Expect McFadden to name an 8 man bench or some such nonsense again. TBF we don’t play until Monday, so plenty of time to see who pulls up fit and who don’t.

A home game against the knights is the easiest game of the year, so a loss basically means pack it in, and start another overhaul.

A win, and they can pretend its back on the rails, it won’t be, the coach has no tactics, and the players only perform to a required level in fits and starts.

Couldn't agree more with this post.

I used to enjoy the Warriors rolling the red carpet with their stars for the Nines. 3 years in a row and we haven't come out with the spoils so whats the point?

A more structured preseason which doesn't just involve harder trainings, but more trial games involving all our main players to test out new combinations so we don't crap out once competition points are up for grabs.
This is what we need moving forward.

Also means we don't spend each week all 'russian roulette' with our team choices - we should already have our combo sussed with 2-3 wins on the troot.

Warriors - making life harder for themselves since 1995...

I'm not a religious person but even I might have to pray for a win this weekend.

Everything always conspires against this team. Like a curse that can't be removed.

This team desperately needs a win. The fans need a win, we've practically become accustomed to watching this team lose for the last 5 years. It's bordering on cruelty.

I enjoyed Ali when he was in his zone with the NSWarriors.
Honestly think he can take it to the top side.
He did the damage when he scored his two tries.
He would do for the topside on attack what the Gubster put on in defence.
Vete put some nice shots on .
Jazz was solid, running options were poor.
Ran into the man on a few occasions, but managed to show he can step up.
CNK or Allwood must be close to a top side call up.

This is pretty much the team I'd go with. Might as well give those halves time together now.

No Wright, Robson, Lillyman & Gavet.

Nothing against Gavet he's done well but he can serve some reserve grade time with Lisone back and Sao can take Lillyman's place.

Tevaga keeps that utility spot ahead of Robson & Roache

The Forum Team for this week is completely bonkers.

Giving each player their preference due to their rankings:

Thompson moves to center and Mannering stays at lock.

Lolohea moves to halfback, as Robson is out of the squad.

Ayshford moves to wing along with Hurrell, while Kata retains his center spot.

Lisone moves to edge forward because Matulino has a high ranking at prop.
