i disagree with both of these statements

the fact we were so underpowered in the forwards with him playing essentially as a prop is an absolute liability to our overall go-forward

Nah he won't be in the 17 if he's out of form. I feel SK and team deserves a bit more credit than that. Let's see what happens once Todd Payten gets here. If Jazz keeps up his form and keeps his spot then he must be doing something right.

Our defence needs to improve overall. No team wins the premiership if they get 50 put on them during the regular season.

Our forward pack isn't the top 4 in the comp and won't be next year either.

Lack of go forward isn't the only blame for poor defense. There's many other factors such as poor footy IQ.

Jazz wasn't playing like prop more as a second rower/loose forward. they're allowed to be smaller and agile.

to me it isn't him entirely, it is the flow on to the entire team and forward rotation

Taking off a hard running prop and replacing him with Barney Rubble is not going to work if we aren't dominating the middle, and we rarely dominate in the middle.

The way he is used and the types of players he is replacing is the problem.

Could not agree more, and when our back three are well contained like the quality sides in the comp do regularly our middles are exposed further.

but hes coming onto the field for a prop.. so the Warriors lose a prop

This is the point, hes not the player the Warriors need in those situations
Props arent on the field just so +sized people have rolemodels, they are there to do the hard yards, draw in defenders, and tire out the opposition. Size matters for that role

Change of tact but one of the reasons the Aussie ODI side is pretty ordinary at the moment is their playing too many allrounders, I feel the Warriors are a bit like that at the moment also.

Having slept on what happened last night....i have to say that my take on kearney hasnt changed.the guys a great 2ic good at setting up processes...BUT..fails totally when it comes to selection and tactics.you HAVE to drop players when they play badly - looking at you kata - otherwise they have NO motivation to get better.the other issue to that is if you train your ass off and dont get pick cos the coach has his favourites it kills motivation. Jazz is a great player no17..not first interchange no14 player.credit he guy for his energy but its not enough.question is how does kearney not know this? Dont tell me its all about next year cos this roster was good enough to win it.we beat ourselves lst night tho credit to the panthers for their 2nd half.i dont see Kearney taking us to the promise land im sorry...that kills me! Warriors thru and thru and in pain

I agree brother, the team is there and has been for most of the season. Kearney just needs to pick them.

Our attacking shape (we have no shape lol) has got really shit as well and that is surely a coaching issue, not sure if this was Cappy or Kearney trying to micromanage it, but it has got worse and worse. We solely rely on individuals to create and not structure.

What I thought was bizarre is that we didn’t take the penalties in front at half time and just after, would have been a two point ball game... it was what we were doing all season. Really needed to slow the game last night to regain composure but our tactics were ?
