My understanding is that they said he would cotinue to be a utility and back up Teddy etc. But no fulltime upgrade promise. He stayed there to be a centre on an elite team.

Did they even need to? By reports he did not even consider any offers. Wasn't the Warriors approach considered "nothing more than general chat"?

Understand that people consider nz as his home, but it looks like he considers Roosters his home.

Because like all other coaches we have had since Cleary I belive this one will get the best out of the next generation.

Spot on Blain! For the last 3 seasons - I have watched all of Parra's games - W. Blake has at least one error in him each game, is dodgy under the high ball and not a great passing game. Defensive reads can be questionable. He is a better winger than centre - but we are trying to eliminate errors. Pro - He is fast.

Our reserve team have good young centre and wingers. Trust Webby to develop them.

Blake would have to be one of the fastest NRL centres around. But like above, has some bad defensive reads in him and some silly mistakes.
I doubt Webster would want him.

I went to a trial and got 10 minutes. I was told I had impact but my fitness needed to improve. I hung out at the Bears a bit. Funny thing Brady Malam got signed. I knew I was better than him. But my dad passed away, so I didn't have my mentor any more, found god and I went on a Mormon mission, where I found out I was diabetic and that my legs would never be the same. My knees are still no good. Can't sprint at all. I've got a big black mark on my left leg reminding me.

I was a power runner - not many could tackle me, offloading machine. But I had a weak attitude and didn't look after myself. I don't look at what might have been (any more). What happened was meant to happen.

Funny time back then, one in particular, was Paul Staladi, great half for Mt Albert, clever player

Got signed by the Warriors and played on the wing.
