Would love NAS, not sure whether we would get the best out of him. I feel like we would need someone like him and Marty Tapau to get the best out of him. A group of props is the way to go. Addin Fonua-Blake, Marty Tapau and NAS would be a good mix.
I agree, we need to sign a couple of props to add much needed l go forward and steel to the team. Otherwise our backs are not going to be do much and we won’t get the best version of Shaun Johnson either.

I feel NAS is a bit of a flat track bully - when their team is going well he looks great, but doesn't seem to be the guy who can lead a pack. With that being said, I'm confident that a pack with Addin Fonua-Blake, Tohu Harris, Niukore, Barnett and NAS would be huge and has more than enough meters in them week in week out to be effective, even with Ale and Bunty on the bench

If we're paying a prop for time on the paddock and metres I'd go for Klemmer. While his very best days are possibly past, he still goes ok in a team that is poor.
He and Addin Fonua-Blake could regularly do 50-60 mins and take pressure off each other. And they would often give us a total of 250 plus metres a game

Rumours that are around look like it’s going to be a lot of props up for grabs. Sounds like the storm are shopping NAS and manly’s Taniela Paseka to the dragons at the moment.
And I have a hunch Warriors management hears things months before fans do and is one possible reason they might have approached Josh Kerr then backed off after hearing other targets becoming available.
These props won't land until Tigers blink vs New Castle in the wrestle for Luke Brooks/Klemmer/Frizell

Other teams seem to want that trade to go down first so they then know where they stand.
Most likely Klemmer goes to Tigers so don't get your hopes up Warriors faithful.

No chance of Klemmer, being in the Issac Moses stable. He’ll have a bit of power at the tigers again with Mitchell Moses potentially going back there in 2024 but still sounds like Brooks to the knights, but they say Hastings may be let go instead. Catalans have approached the roosters over JWH as well apparently.

Apparently tigers won’t resign Hastings as they think he’s too slow to be an NRL half - very strange!! Since when did a 7 have to be fast. Cronk wasn’t very fast, he turned out alright 🤣

Dolphins should push hard to get Hastings for '23, would be the perfect fit imo.

Milford & Nikorima couldn't lead a dog on a leash, Sean O'Sullivan is only there because of his daddy, and Katoa needs a year or two.

Hastings has worked with Bennett before and he seems to be one of the most passionate players you could find at the moment, would leave it all out on the field for 'em- I'm not sure if the same can be said for Mitch Moses..

They going in hard for Dylan Brown apparently, maybe there is something to rumours around Hastings and team harmony?

What are the rumours? Obviously there was the ones a few years back before he went to the Super League, but are there new ones?

I really can't see Brown going anywhere other than here, or staying at Parra, and even then I don't think we have a great shot at getting him.

I guess when you consider our initial interest in him was with Peter O’Sullivan in charge of recruitment and him in charge at the dolphins now, there isn’t much of a surprise. Hoping he takes over from Shaun Johnson.

Oh, I thought you meant there were rumours around Jackson Hastings being bad for the locker room.

Ignore me lol

Jackson Hastings could end up the surprise odd man out following Wests Tigers’ stunning deal that is set to [land star English international John Bateman]

Speculation has swept through the NRL in the wake of the shock revelation of Bateman’s pending return that the tough backrower and Hastings weren’t exactly what you’d call the best of mates previously when they played at Wigan.

Hastings agent Sam Ayoub could not be contacted for comment.

But it’s fair to say rival clubs are watching closely to see how the situation unfolds.

Hastings is also off contract at the end of next season, but if he becomes available for 2023 he will certainly attract some genuine interest.

Jackson Hastings could be the odd man out in the wake of the Tigers landing John Bateman.

The pair reportedly didn’t get along in their time playing together for Wigan in England. Picture: Getty Images.

Hastings had already been shifted out of his preferred halfback position to play lock this season, with Luke Brooks and Adam Doueihi expected to be the likely halves pairing going forward if Brooks stays.

That of course will depend on whether the Tigers end up releasing Brooks to Newcastle.

Many are still convinced Brooks will end up at the Knights in 2023.

Brooks is off contract at the end of next season, as is Doueihi.

Tim Sheens had previously stated he would not release Brooks, and in fact wanted to extend him beyond next season.

But it’s also no secret Sheens is making a play to try and sign Parramatta’s Mitchell Moses for 2024 and beyond, and he has already chased but missed Cameron Munster.

Brooks is on a monster deal for 2023, in the vicinity of $1.2 million for the season, so his exit would free up huge salary cap space.

Should Hastings become available for 2023 there will be several NRL rivals lining up to snare him. Picture: Getty Images.

When the Bateman deal gets rubber stamped it will certainly give the Tigers some serious respect in the countdown to the new year regardless of who ends up being the halves pairing.

Bateman, 29, is one of the world’s best edge backrowers and was a raging success during his time at the Canberra Raiders.

Even though it ended badly, there is no question Bateman left with plenty of admirers.

The Tigers have not made the finals since 2011, but the new look roster is really starting to create some excitement..

Bateman’s last stint in the NRL ended ugly, after announcing in the middle of the 2020 season that he would be leaving the club. Picture: Getty Images.

A month ago the Tigers had all but given up hope of doing the Bateman deal because of the huge transfer fee that Wigan had put on Bateman’s release.

But Sheens appears to have been rewarded for his persistence after continuing to work on the deal while in England for the World Cup, and it could end up a real game-changer for the battling NRL club

On the back of the recruitment of Api Koroisau from Penrith and Isaiah Papalii from Parramatta, it gives the Tigers plenty of X factor under the new coaching partnership of Sheens and Benji Marshall.

Bateman is also the sort of player who will no doubt help attract more players to a club that previously struggled to land any significant recruits

There’s this most recently and the dust up with DCE. Apparently he and David Nofoaluma had a blow up at training too when he was loaned to the storm. Strikes me as he’s probably a clown too though.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Douehi, he’s going to represent himself in terms of a player agent and he wants $900k a season.
