I recall something along lines that when we released him early couple years back, that we’d get 1st option on him if he came back to NRL. Surely our management ain’t that stupid not to insert something like that at the time and then now enforce it…..oh hold on🤦‍♂️

It is only enforceable during the years he was meant to be contracted at the Warriors. That contract ended after 2022.

Not sure how you interpret the managers comments like that. Of course his manager will always be open to talks as is his job but he literally says he is not in talks with any club. In laymans terms Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is not even thinking about leaving NZ rugby, nor has he instructed his manager to begin the process of doing so and any rumour stating otherwise is completely full of shit...

With Roosters:
Will be paid less
Less work for him to do (in a team full of superstars)
Potentially another premiership or 2

With Warriors/Tigers other lower teams:
Will be paid more (my guess is about 300k more than what Roosters would pay)
Will have to do WAY more work - 200m+ a game
No chance of a premiership
Possible career opportunities after retirement

That last one - retirement career opportunities could be the big selling point. I'd be happy to have him back on upwards of $600k (new cap means that's around 450k by current standards).

I think at his age, His last contract will be more about money than premierships. He has won a premiership with the Roosters, He has played for the All Blacks & captained his club. Won a Daily M Medal/s. He took a paycut to join rugby. Maybe this time around , He wants to get a couple more big paydays before he calls it a day.

Bodies getting old, he's made bank for the last 10 years. What's another 3-600k when you're net worth is north of 10mil?

But, to play devil's advocate Roger Tuivasa-Sheck does not strike me as the kind of guy who 'needs' to be remembered or have a legacy as one of the best ever.

Time will tell, I personally think if he comes back he'll come back to us, but it's anybodies guess as to what he does

Sorry to say this folks but I’m 100% convinced of the Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad signing.
He was superb for the Raiders but last year couldn’t break into 1st grade . I thought he wasn’t too flash for the kiwis in 2022.
Jeez, I hope I’m wrong as he’s a nice guy !

He was superb for the Raiders but last year couldn’t break into 1st grade . I thought he wasn’t too flash for the kiwis in 2022.

I guess if you can sort your front line defence it gives an opportunity to play a more attacking fullback that is slightly less effective on defence. He looks like he’d put his body on the line more than Walsh ever did.
