Staines is a good player. Peachy is great on attack. Peachy would be awful at the warriors with 40% of the ball. Will go ok at the panthers because the refs love them. They need a back rower with Kikau moving to the dogs.This just in

I'd say the Panthers win. Being the reigning premiers vs the team that is struggling.
Players coming into the Panthers are more likely to stand out due to being in a team on a high or look more consistent as the whole side is performing at a higher level.

Agree, but I think it's a good move for Staines too.
The thought of Peachey running at holes outside Cleary will give defensive coaches nightmares... Penrith have a good chance (injury and suspensions permitting) of a three-peat. Cleary hasn't hit his peak yet. Nor has Edwards.
(and part of me hopes I just jinxed them).

They’re trying to rebuild and he’s a young player on the way up replacing an older one on the way out.
Much better long term option and gives them the option of moving Laurie into the halves in the future.

Well it’s not far off what they were paying peachey anyway 🤷♂️ plus we don’t actually know the terms of the deal- it’ll be a multi year deal and he’s got a lot of potential so could prove to be a good buy over the course of it.
He’s an investment for them- peachey was dead wood there.
