Id be very happy for Paul to turn it up, he had so much to offer. Damn Foran spoiling the party, no doubt no loyalty all for financial reasons.

He turned down our superior financial offer because the people advising him thought he'd have better opportunities at the Titans. His brother also plays on the GC too
Felt he would get more game time over there iirc.

Right then and there thanks to the CEO we werent, we had let all our halves and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad go, then publicly ridiculed Shaun Johnson on twitter for a salary the club OFFERED him. Dysfunctional or what.
We are paying for George to learn how RL Clubs work.
That is pretty much why I think, cant blame him tbh.... I hope he makes a go of it quick smart, ultra talented very quick player.

No but I was gutted we lost him, but hes one of so many. We really do need our NZ RL to align to the Warriors, we never got that right from the start, the Warriors seen as the elite level for NZ players to get to.. That is how Paul Turner felt.
Get back to a NZ Warriors team made up of the NZRL competition players, have them compete in the NSW cup, just like NewCastle does. Newcastle as a city is only 300k but a massive rural area Maitland etc, so prob have more of a player pool than NZ. They do well in not losing their local talent.

Yeah i would say more of an attitude thing and from my own opinion, only knew how to play in broken play but in a grinding game, had no idea what to do. Wasnt at NRL level mentally but physically he has all the talent and skill. A lot like a Lolohea 2.0 to be honest

Can anyone remember why he was never allowed to play away games for the Vulcans because of his convictions but then he was able to sign for the eels? Wtf was all that about?
Thurston was asked who his toughest opponent was and he named ma’u- could’ve been a ten year warrior.
Brining him back at 33 would be such a warriors move- we always miss the boat.
Only for half a season mind, while A FB mends his wounds, then we offer him the Head Coach role, keeping in the such a warriors move mood ;-p

NRL signing tracker has us at 29 players but that excludes Lodge. Would Lodge still be classified in our Top 30 as we're paying him for the remainder of the year?
