No idea what happened either way but I do get the feeling that the Warriors upper management and ownership operates with a significant amount of ego.

Nothing to substantiate this rumour but there's a bloke on Facebook that suggesting Lodge got caught out doing some inhouse recruiting on behalf of POS
If that’s true then that with the way Peter o Sullivan exited the club is very questionable. The recent way that o Sullivan’s tactics were made public in the dolphins pursuit of Ponga makes me think that Robinson’s comments at the time of him leaving the Warriors about being a dodgy person are perhaps accurate. I cringed at the time to say it publicly but perhaps founded.

That was my first thought on what might have been behind it. Two others I know with absolutely no inside word have also independently thought of this as being the reason. So from all that I am concluding that it’s either accurate or completely false, but makes for a good narrative in the interim.

So… these young blokes were supposedly developing in the middle now Lodge has gone. Are they talking Katoa? we obviously have a lot of back/second row options next year.

Can he be turned him into an Nrl standard prop by 2023. Struggling to think which propping option we’re gonna be putting this extra game time into.

When he’s played for Penrith this year he’s came on for Liam Martin in the second row.
Would lend weight to Ben Murdoch-Masila leaving.
We seem to have a lot of backrowers next year although Harris and Barnett could play middle and niukore center.
Hard to know wtf is going on.
And where does Dylan walker fit in all this?
The good thing with having all these versatile guys is it gives us a lot of flexibility in the market.
It’s gonna be an important couple of months for recruitment/ retention.
Will be very interesting to see who lines up round 1 2023.

Walker surely plays 14 doesn’t he? The role he’s been really good at for the last 2 seasons. He hasn’t played a decent game at centre in years.

Well watching him last night I was wondering if he’s coming to play 13…. Is that the lure?
Would he move to nz to be a bench player?
Hard to see how him and jazz fit into the same team.

40 minutes each? Curren can play second row in the full strength team, but would require Harris to move to prop full time.

That is 99% the plan next season. Barnett and Niukore might swap. Brown confirmed Harris to prop is the plan this week I believe.

On paper we are looking OK there, with Tevaga and Walker playing smaller prop/lock/utility roles like Cotter. Then you have Bunty and Pene, mixed with the Kepu's and maybe a Finau and Ale. Katoa and Sironen to cover the second row, if Ben Murdoch-Masila and Murchie do leave a guy like Salmon might be the plan. I'd like us to keep Murch though.

We have heaps of forwards next season, and it's important we start blooding some juniors, if they are promising players. Centres are what I'm worried about. We need some defence out wide. I'm really hoping Asi or Arthurs is one answer.
