Should sign Cam Cullen from Redcliffe as a replacement for Lino.

Yeah he is definitely a talented player but apparently has issues which is why he left Manly and went home. NZ may be a step too far for him.

To be fair, he’s missed a few one on one tackles against Canterbury.

We would be mad not to pick up Taane Milne. Would round off centre depth perfectly.

Drug ban (12 matches) has been served at Mounties so he's good to go in 2019. Obviously had off-field issues but somebody will pick him up you'd think.

the only way the salary cap can actually work is to either list the players salaries or scrap these farkin third party deals!! What’s the bet they still keep Napa.

Roosters chasing Taupau

The Sydney Roosters aren’t resting on their laurels after Sunday’s premiership triumph and are poised to launch an all-out bid to sign Manly’s Kiwi international prop Marty Taupau for next season.

The club continually distanced itself from rumours that it was keen on the rugged enforcer during the season.

But now that the year is over and the premiership won, I’m hearing the Roosters will open talks with Taupau’s management.

The tough prop is desperate to get out of his deal with Manly and if the Roosters come up with the right offer, a deal could be done.

WWOS has heard that the Roosters are prepared to offload Queensland State of Origin prop Dylan Napa to get their hands on Taupau.

Napa is a weapon on his day but the Roosters believe Taupau would give them more fire power.

That would be some recruiting drive if they land Tapau, reminiscent of 2013 when they got SBW, Maloney, O'Donnell and another name that escapes me at the moment.

They have Brett Morris, Crighton and Ryan Hall signed up already.

Have to give it to them they landed Tedesco and Cronk for 2018 and a lot of analysts were listing them as favourites and saying they had one of the best rosters ever assembled. The Storm before they got caught for cap cheating was probably more loaded. I didn't think they were outright favourites but they did it.

Trent Robinson had some good points about having the big names, experience with a mixture of youth to balance it out. The cynic (read jealous it wasn't us winning the premiership:() in me would point out that it helps deflect the cap accusations as we have some cheap guys over there.:finger:

Other one was Jennings.

I would take less money to be part of a team that wins a lot of games and potentially a competition over more money at a club which mainly loses and has a shit vibe.

But then again, I would also accept cash payments outside of the cap at said club who wins a lot of games.

They will end up using the free cap space they reportedly had after signing Cronk and Tedesco to sign Tapau and keep Napa. Those roosters boys know how to balance the books.

He's a good player and they've also signed Paul Momirovski from the Roosters who has looked good in his limited opportunities so far.

Here's how they're looking at the moment in terms of changes :

Momirovski should slot right in at left centre to cover the loss of Naiquama. He will be an NRL player for sure, held his own vs. Gagai in the semi final.
