Poor old Titans can't catch a break losing half Elgey for the season at the first training session of the year. That has got to hurt. Was shaping to be a good season for him too

Tough Break for the kid looked really good the first month after his debut he did an number on us at Anzac Day last year. They have Ash Taylor there he was an big upcoming prospect from the Broncos But had to leave to getting no game time imagine he would take the spot now.

Feels like the last ten months or so everything that could go wrong for the Titans has.

Michael Jennings to the Eels, Dale Copley to the Roosters been reported.

good signing for them, eels could go from bottom of the table to giving the premiership a good go next year. they have a good forward pack. just always been lacking some classy outside backs. now they would have:

1. Gordon
2. Radradra,
3. Jennings
4. Takairangi
5. Folau (the younger brother)
6. Norman
7. Foran

Jennings and Radradra on the same side would be limiting opportunities for that team. Jennings is a great runner of the ball but is a ball hog and hardly tries to put his man into space rather trying to do it himself.
wouldn't you when u have that talent? more pros than cons I think. hes also a kangaroo centre

Personally, i wouldnt. Id prefer to have those strike weapons on opposite sides of the field for maximum impact. Not doubting Jennings ability btw. Radradra had an amazing season so that side of the field getting the ball to him isnt an issue. Furthermore, both Roosters and Parra deny this is happening so Jennings to Parra is not confirmed yet but can definately see it happening with him not on a cheap contract at Sydney City. Question is...are Roosters clearing cap space for a certain SBW in 2017?

Radradra is the premier winger in the game right now. If he can stay injury free in 2016 hes going to have another great season.

Most Roosters fans I know are pretty much taking SBW in 2017 as a certainty, Other one I've seen posted elsewhere that theyre offloading some highly paid players to make a play for Hayne-would take that with a grain of salt though lol

This so much. Watch Radrada's try count fall dramatically if Jennings goes to the Eels and plays on his side. Jennings has bombed many a try because he struggles to set up his winger instead taking the selfish option and going for the try himself.

I don't understand the logic in the move right now by the roosters is Copley better than Jennings??? Copley always seem to be hurt and really only had one good year which was 2014 he always in and out of the lineup.

If it's about clearing space and getting ready for SBW to return for 17 like many roosters fans are suggesting then cool but why not give him the option to leave after this upcoming season not right before the start.

Jennings has his issues like many said doesn't put his winger into space he can do it just doesn't choose to do it enough but wouldn't just cut an NSW rep and Current Australian center for someone that has only really one good year.

He's probably meaning he's well rated in NYC and clubs will be hunting him.. The Titans need stars not promising 20yos! Well not in the halves anyway.

Problem is they're in a big hole and would have to pay big overs to get any stars ( which they've said they're not willing to do).
I know of one player they approached recently who's on $500,000- his management told them they can have him for $850,000!
The only players they can attract at the moment are those looking for an opportunity.
God I'm glad those days are over for us.

That's where the Titans need to start though. Build a solid squad, get competitive, then add stars.

The other option is to take a punt on those who have star potential but have fallen for one reason or another (form, injury etc)

A guy like Barba comes to mind. More pick ups like Nene McDonald can't hurt either.

Brisbane Broncos star Dale Copley heading to Sydney after signing Roosters deal

THE Sydney Roosters have officially signed Broncos centre Dale Copley.
Copley informed teammates on Saturday morning that he was officially Sydney bound, thanking them for their friendship.
The 24-year-old leaves Brisbane after more than a decade with the club, which he began training with as a 13-year-old.
He will join the Roosters next week for training after putting pen to paper in the past 24 hours.
This means the Roosters will need to offload Michael Jennings or Shaun Kenny-Dowall, who faces court next month.
The Broncos had to shift Copley after signing James Roberts, who will play in the right centre position earmarked for Copley.
Copley will likely replace Jennings on the Roosters’ left edge. The Roosters are expected to make an announcement on Copley’s signature on Monday.

- After the talk of Jennings to the eels this reference to SKD is interesting and not unsurprising.

They could probably learn a lot from our club.
Maybe take a leaf out of our book and start buying back the farm.
Keebra park alone have produced all these current nrl players-

While palm beach currumbin have dished up the likes of Boyd, hannant, James, proctor, perrett, rapana.

So not including the like of Ryan james and passi who are already on their books, from those two schools alone u could have this side-

Boyd
Rowe
Kahu
rapana
Perrett
Norman
Marshall

Hannant
Lui
Moa
Proctor
Teo
Eastwood

Murdoch- masila
Edwards
Liu
Moga

They've got some of the best rugby league schools in the world- u could throw coomabah in there too now- yet how many of them end up with the Titans.
Now I realize most of them weren't born and breed on the gc but they still have strong links. They are familiar with the place and the lifestyle it offers. They also have friends and in most cases family here.
If I were the Titans I'd be specifically targeting these kind of guys.
