This game has proven yet again that we need a genuine utility back on the bench that will cover the spots we are short in. How many times this year have we been left without a FB. Our wingers are incapable of covering FB. I will yet again push for Godinet's inclusion on the bench. We should not be moving our 5/8th to FB. 4 forward benches are foolish. Especially when our forwards aren't working hard enough to need lots of rest. Even when Locke comes back next week (touch wood) I still want to see Godinet on the bench. We don't need Lousi, as Mannering and Taylor are 80 minute players and Brown and Mateo can interchange the other back row spot, and we already have 4 1/2 props (counting Manu).

I'm not seeing that much from Lousi compared to the start of the year and think your right in regards to Jimmy going to FB, making one of our main attackers our last line of defence is confusing at best, stupid at worst.

I disliked Lousi last year as a second rower. I was very impressed with him early on this year in the props. But I think he has realised his days are numbered and has given up, since we have our 4 top props back. I am more opposed to the concept of the 4 forward bench than to the player himself.

yeah, actually I think that's why I'm a bit down on what's going on atm. Watching manly crush the dragons, I thought we should be as good as them, heck we were playing them in a GF a few months ago. Now we have senior players playing like they can't remember how they used to play, a club that dispenses players even though they have to carry on paying their salaries. a defensive lapse for the first 5/6 rounds...I don't know. Waiting for that eureka round that shows us all we're back as the GF finalists we were. I wonder if Owen is as patient as us.

I may not be an expert, but shouldn't the man with the ball be the player getting back up, regardless of his position. Once the winger has the ball and is in front of the rest of the team, he should receive support from them.

That statement is just odd.

Lets say the last couple of passers have been tackled it's a bit hard to come from the centre out to back up with in 10 mtrs, I thought the wingers were ment to be fast and agile?

This season is very up and down, but using last season as a benchmark is maybe not best way to look at things, did the warriors actually over achieve last year! coupled with change of coach and young Squad I think it's expected for team to be inconsistent given injuries to key experience players I.e. luck, lillyman etc.

I don't think we over achieved. I just think we actually played to our potential for one and a half games of finals football. And what halves they were, sublime. Been waiting to see that quality again, and although we've showed it in patches, we've not shown it for 80 minutes.

I'll be honest after broncos game warriors was not Grand final material, yes warriors did win couple of big games but were not best two teamsin the competition last season. Storm were and are more like a top two team

nup sorry. We beat the storm fair and square last year, and the tigers. They earnt their place, the storm would've been beaten by manly and probably the tigers too.

Im hating the fact that subconsciously we're all getting lulled into believing Bluey is gonna be round for the next 2 years. What were the expectations of this club for this year? It was to take an seemingly unchanged grand final side and further improve it and consistenly be in the top 4, from what i got from bluey was that was suppose to happen this year. I didnt get the memo saying "im gonna take this grand final side and make it worse and actually not make the 8 this year or next, but im gonna rebuild it on players that are my favourites and miss the finals for the next 2 years then hopefully after 2 years we will have eventually gotten back to square one where we bearly make the eight" i didnt get this memo but i can believe it now after seeing the results of this team so far this year.

The recruitment policy will also have big bearing results over next 12 months or so, we need couple more leaders on the pitch who can guide the young squad on what to do in tight games like today and against tigers

yep. There was a bit of Kiwi nostalgia wrapped up in it too, like an Aussie coach got us to the GF but a Kiwi coach will win it. Absolute baloney. We just need the best fit for the club. Bluey said judge him after round 6. 'judge' is a harsh word, but the assessment is not too flash.
We're not getting thrashed like the raiders, we're just not looking like winning.

What Grand final side? We lost 8 of last years squad and bought 1 replacement, we have had 3 of our senior players on the sideline most of the season and having been playing with a very inexperienced backline, our number 1 Fullback has played 5 games 1 of them 7 minutes long, we also have been without our number 1 hooker for over a month. We should be close to our GF team within the next few weeks and I believe we shall see a bit more from the boys. The lack of leadership and experience stood out today.
