Eight NRL stars in Bennett's England squad

source :https://www.nrl.com/eight-nrl-stars-in-bennetts-england-squad/tabid/10874/newsid/106018/default.aspx

England coach Wayne Bennett has selected a 20-man squad for the Pacific Test match against Samoa
at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday May 6.

Cronulla Sharks veteran Chris Heighington will make his return to the squad after last being selected for England in 2011, while Zak Hardaker has also been recalled and Chris McQueen, Mike McMeeken and Alex Walmsley have been handed debuts. Gold Coast Titan McQueen qualifies for England selection through his English father.

Sean O'Loughlin will captain the side, which also features NRL stars James Graham, Sam Burgess, Thomas Burgess, Josh Hodgson, Elliott Whitehead and Gareth Widdop.

England squad: Sam Burgess, Thomas Burgess, Luke Gale, James Graham, Ryan Hall, Zak Hardaker, Chris Heighington, Chris Hill, Josh Hodgson, Jermaine McGillvary, Mike McMeeken, Chris McQueen, Sean O'Loughlin (c),
Mark Percival, Scott Taylor, Alex Walmsley, Kallum Watkins, Elliott Whitehead, Gareth Widdop, George Williams.

Good to see that Chris McQueen is playing for England even though he has already represented Queensland.

NRL need to share the rep round love. Samoa vs Tonga at Eden Park, Fiji vs Cook Islands at Mt Smart and they can keep the bigtime show in Australia. Eden Park would be close to capacity just because of the rivalry and Mt Smart would have a great turnout because of the Fijian and Cook Island population in Auckland.

Be nice to get an ANZAC Test come our way. Been so damn long...

Bit unlucky konnie missing out on the Tongan squad- he's been on absolute fire the last couple of weeks.
Never realized lee was Tongan.
They're looking good in the centers- prob stronger than the kiwis tbh.

Did not know that Milne was part Fijian. Lol at the fact that Tariq Sims has been selected by both Fiji and Country. Did no one bother to ask Tariq who wants to play for. Disappointed Campbell-Gillard opted not to play for Fiji.

Pacific Tests can't get a mention on NRL 360. Fox sports needs its own international footy show, no point having a pacific tests weekend with no media hype, aussie media just want to kill off anything that isnt origin or nrl
