Team Lists

Seriously, what has Ratuva done in his entire career to date that makes people think hes such a game changer. Absolute desperation.

I hope for the best for the guy, but he is currently well down the pecking order, in an extremely ordinary group of wings.

The first 2 games were winnable games but this is certainly a must win game as far as our season is concerned.
If we go in devoid of game plan that works it will be most disappointing.

Apart from our backs the forwards are a competitive team, it makes me wonder about the use of Aitken with our cover in the second row.

It is funny how quickly the tide can turn for warriors fans on players and the team. A loss against the Tigers this Friday will have a somewhat unbearable and immediate backlash I have no doubts. And so it should…As someone who looked at the team on paper and after that good trial win, I saw top 8 certainty, maybe top 6 and even at a stretch top 4. But my bias limited any true objectivity because there was a glaring omission in the make up of this team - our strike and experience out wide is borderline inept. Dylan Walkers signing does add hope but it doesn’t help us in the current tense. However Aitken to centre, Dallin back on the wing our gun fullback setting up tries for our outsides and a few wins under our belt the backline deficiencies are easily forgotten and we will be back on track to play semis in October and everyone will be happy. In terms of the players a good performance can almost turn the tide immediately unless your name is Kodi. Look at Chanel, it took only one decent performance in a game we didn’t win to suggest he might be ‘our man.’ After underwhelming performances last week my hope is that Berry and Katoa bounce back with strong games and quickly turn the tide of opinion before they too become sideline fodder!

Kodi struggles for motivation when selected week in week out, why would he give a fuck once he's been dropped! This team just fucken stinks! Tigers could actually do a job on the warriors if in the mood.
Id say no doubt they could, comparing the teams we have Addin Fonua-Blake. Curran has been good so far this year. But overall the team doesnt sparkle on paper like I thought it would with all the signings last 2 years. Walsh gives away more tries than he scores, would love to see the Warriors with a real defensive FB and have Walsh at 6 with his hands on the footy more often, him and Shaun Johnson together would be a right handful. I know the Broncos wanted him to play FB after being a half, but if a player doesnt have defensive vision and tackling skill then I dont think you can teach that in first grade. Tevaga is one of our best (yep thats where we at). Id like to see how Murchie is placed.... I think the team will look significantly better when Shaun Johnson and Tohu Harris are in the team. But will the season have gotten to desperation by that point. We already need 13/22, I hope we arent needing 13/18 by time Shaun Johnson returns......

Kodi, sigh. Given he is our highest paid half, not much seems to motivate. To be fair, he doesnt have the game management skills, kicking skills, passing skills, or run draw and pass skills. He on rare occasion can look electric off the mark IF there is a wide open hole. I just hope the numbers do not reflect the traditional roles and Chanel Harris-Tavita gets the ball 80% of the time and Kodi never puts an offensive kick in, after Taylor landing bombs perfectly 3m from the try line Im not looking forward to Kodi landing them 10-15m out from th 30m time after time after time. Kodi is as bad a defender as Taylor without any of the half back skills. I presume Taylor must be injured......

Tigers are a good team on paper, not sure where they are going wrong so far?

Warriors are favs, and of course they "can" win. Would be nice to be 2/5 by the time Shaun Johnson returns and kick on from there.

This place could certainly do with some meds at times but the pendulum swings can also be an entertaining watch. Players obviously don’t go out to play poorly - Katoa’s a good example, if he’s guilty of anything it’s probably trying too hard at times which we often see with inexperienced players.

It can be a tough gig on an edge at Nrl level if your not in full command of your role out there. Both Berry and Katoa are having to learn on the run. Bombs coming in from the sideline is usually just a lack of understanding from frustrated fans.

Here is a new article from The Niche Cache, unfortunately it reads a whole lot of truth.
Haha so much accurate cynicism.

Im wondering is JUNIOR RATUVA going to get a game? Given his height, size and speed over 100m. He sounds like exactly what we have missed for years, somebody quick on the wing. He is also huge, but fast none the less.

The sooner we get more pace in the team the better. Need the PTB to be faster, need to clear the ruck quicker, need our forwards steam rolling keeping the opposition on the back foot and not back the 10 and speed from Shaun Johnson, Walsh and hopefully soon Ratuva.

The sooner we learn to defend the better my bro!

How much trouble are we in when Kodi Nikorima is the best halves option we have?
At least Harris-Tavita goes in to the game knowing that he will be the dominant half.
Although anyone partnering Nikorima would be the dominant half

Jock Madden replaces Hastings

3 NRL games 0 tries - try assists
Has a big boot averaging 157 metres per game
Has a good pedigree

A former Australian Schoolboy and New South Wales junior representative, Madden joined Wests Tigers in 2019 on a Development contract — featuring heavily for the club's Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup side. After re-signing with Wests Tigers until the end of the 2022 season, Madden had the opportunity of making his NRL debut against Newcastle at Magic Round in 2021 and played three first grade games across the season.

James Roberts has been scratched from tomorrows game - quad injury.
Starting to feel sorry for the tigers. coach on the verge of get the boot. key players injured and suspended. no team is under as much pressure as they are.

but the pressure we will get if we were to lose this game ….😳😳

Tigers backs look average but nonetheless are better than ours.
We have better props.

Can we smash them up front.

This could be a hard game to watch for both sets of fans.
