Was pretty obvious Ash had been playing with injury right from the trial.

Why does Brown persist with Siro over Ben Murdoch-Masila, I just don't see it.
Because Ben Murdoch-Masila isn't going to come on in 30c heat when everyone else is buggered and make 20 tackles in 20 minutes.

We often look to a players attack threat at the expense of what else they do (I'm guilty of this).

Forwards are not our issue at the moment.

Signing Taylor was probably a mistake. I hope we had doctors review medial records etc. But I get the feeling that having a sit down coffee with Brown and George was enough to convince them.

I get not making any changes to the outside back but still highly concerning. If we weren't facing the Tigers I would be sure we were in for a hiding. Especially with Kodi back in the mix.

He got belted in the post match thread for his run meters but I thought he was decent on the weekend. People were falling off tackles left, right and centre. He was the only one with some sting in his defence.

Hopefully Kodi will have a point to prove and will play one of his rare decent games

Yea someone raised a good point about just bringing him in with 20 to go to sure up defence as a pure job. But for me basically telling one of your fowards take no hit ups is not ok regardless of the plan

Taylor is out due to a hip complaint apparently.
Thank you very much

Very pleased there is a simple explanation

"Warriors: More shuffling in the halves with Kodi Nikorima back into the side at halfback after being relegated to 18th man last week. Ash Taylor has a hip complaint which is only expected to sideline him for one week. Skipper Addin Fonua-Blake has been named despite being inconvenienced by a hand injury against the Titans."

fat labradors often have hip problems too, or so i’ve read.

sorry, i shouldn’t.

i will say however, i cannot wait to see CHT and Shaun Johnson string a handful of games together behind lodge and AFB. curren going like he has and walsh running amok off them.

IF we can see that happen for 6-8 consecutive games, the other spots will be whatever, and whoever is in them is less crucial and i’m sure will do a job but that will give everyone a good indication of where this season is headed i think.

I want to see Ratuva given a chance. Our outside backs have been poor and tbh i've never been Pompey's biggest fan, especially on the wing. Shit house that Milne was never given a chance here and now he's a starter for the bunnies.

I think even with the run of form we are having , the tigers are just so bad atm we beat them convincingly.
Especially if Hastings is out.

And get our differential into a good positive. Lesson learnt last year.

Kodi struggles for motivation when selected week in week out, why would he give a fuck once he's been dropped! This team just fucken stinks! Tigers could actually do a job on the warriors if in the mood.
