A good defensive display from the Cowboys that puts their last performance against the Bulldogs in a better light. They were just relentless through out and rarely gave the Raiders anything. The only blight was that Harawira-Naera try where Nanai switched off.

Canberra had a few players put their hand up but they just couldn't get anything going. The loss of Cotric and Rapana really hurt their ability to work it out of trouble and a couple of players tried too hard to conjure up something.

Holy shit, how much were the ABC Grandstand commentators going on about the Cowgirls... the take aways if you believe them:

Tom Dearden loves the Cowboys more than anything else on this earth ... all his dreams came true when he signed his Cowboys contract

Payten just saved his Cowboys career

Dearden and Townsend have silenced the critics and proved the doubters wrong

The first two are probably true for now and the last one is typical league journalism, sensationalise everything.

Dearden is going well but Drinkwater was going just as well last season, at times their best.

It's surprising to me that Drinkwater doesn't have a starting spot over Dearden, can see him looking for a release if things don't change and I know a few clubs would be interested, he's got a real handy short kicking game on him.

I watched Tracey Doddington with interest last night. It seems every time he ran the ball he was caught and wrapped up quite easily. If he's going to develop a running game in the NRL he needs to clap on a great deal more speed and work on his leg strength to pull through the tackle. Otherwise he's useless. On so many occasions the ball died when it got to him.

And always remember if your life seems dull and dreary..................it is!

Not a fan of this enforced HIA rule. Tigers down a player sand didn’t even get a penalty in real time for a head high. Player looks fine as well 😂😂😂😂
