That game against the Dragons was the first regular season Warriors game I went to.
I remember Tallis breaking the line on their 20 metres and running the length if the field in total silence...more than once. Very poor coaching, very poor coach selection.

25 years later our hearts are still in pieces and scattered like flailing Warriors in his wake, and the ripples emanate down to this day. I don't know why we have to bring this up all the time, the pain never really goes away.

Glass half full for me.

For once we seem to have a truly experienced coach who seems to know what he is doing. He seems to be supported by a good talent scout and maybe most importantly an owner with a lot of the line who is approaching things like a businessman rather than a con artist.

The closest we have had to that is Ivan Cleary and John Hart.

Bruce I have liked 2 of your posts today, what is going on?

I remember there was one game when Tallis absolutely smashed Marc Ellis. Even on TV it made a bone crunching noise. I literally saw Ellis' soul leave his body for a second. Still remember that moment some 25 years later....... game was at Mt Smart... probably talking about the same game ..... Gordon Tallis was an absolute BEAST

Just as impressive was an Origin moment when he performed a “hammer throw” on a human, tossing him over the sideline like a 5kg bag of spuds!

I really like this team Brown is named. It is the best possible with the troops available. We are blooding some youngsters a lot earlier than a coach like SK would. He also understands how to have a good bench configuration.

I think we are going to beat the Cowboys fairly comfortably.

Do you think we'll remain 1-17 for the first time since Week 1?

Will Payten go one up over the club he turned down or will the poor oppressed Warriors sneak a win?
I hate predicting Warriors games because I think history shows that is a futile and foolish exercise.

However, if I was forced to at the point of a gun, I give this one to the Warriors, mainly due to the Cowboys attack being fairly predictable which aids our biggest weakness, our defence.

Todd will be desperate to engineer a win here, extra internal pressure on him and his job due to his history here and the Cows hopes that it should make a difference.

I like the idea that one coach will emerge having out coached the other.

The thing is, our clubs are closer in ability than many would care to admit. If both show up, it will be a cracking game missed by most who go into it with preconceptions that the cows do not deserve any respect.

That part gets on my nerves, when the Warriors play exceptionally well against weaker teams, who also happen to play well. People can't just appreciate a good game for what it is.

Walsh has to kick ass on Sunday. Someone in The Reservoir Dogs has to get the points Williams would have had if he hadn't dinged himself in the pre-game warmup and been ruled out of last night's game....So it may as well be Mr Lookame ImAmazing Walsh. Or he's gone.

As to Curran:

So, Messrs NRL Judiciary, can we possibly replay the 10 minutes Curran missed of Sunday's game, 13 on 13, starting at 0-0?

And if the score is in the Warriors favour after those 10 minutes, get a sports psychologist to predict the end result based on the lift it would have given the Warriors and the deflating feeling it would have given the Storm? The Warriors would have felt well in the game and would have won from there. Jennifer Melfi would agree.

Oh, well, just thought I'd ask. Anyway, plenty of portraits of Edith Cowan and David Unaipon, with the letters 5 and 0 featuring alongside their likenesses (I think it's some arty avante garde thing you NRL judgey types might go for...), headed your way out of respect. And you can keep the brown paper bag. Climate change, efficiency, money saving etc.

No changes in the 17 so far a day out from the game. Kosi and O'Sullivan are still on the bench.
Interesting that Kosi is at first receiver in this pic from the Captains run...

(Fusitua is also in a few of the other pics too)

EDIT: Looks like they might just be running a passing drill here lol

So boys. Took some acid last night and I reckon Kodi will step up as he feels responsibility to nurture walsh and set a good example. I feel if you give them time they could be an absolutely deadly halves pairing. I feel kodi needs someone to either believe in him or for him to believe in himself that he could truly be great. Blokes never even mentioned as a half in any commentary except by the critics.

Kodi x walsh + free Roger Tuivasa-Sheck = angry Peyton.

PS: All the sharks + storm boys were out and Graham is a fucking boulder dude. You don't realise just how solid these guys are until your buying them drinks at revs at 4am
