That's just not true though, they are from Melbourne Australia so they do represent from Australia, what are you trying to say?Dunno why we have to play the storm every anzac weekend. Just a set up. It's not like they represent australia.
It does suck that NZ never gets a game over ANZAC - kinda makes the thing one sided. But understand it’s Melbournes biggest payday but still should be shared. We often get our asses kicked in this fixture, but I think it's one of the most significant for the club. While it doesn't happen as often now, there was a time when we were the boogeymen for the Storm. I think that time has permanently tethered our two clubs together.
Secondary to that, you also have a disproportionately large number of Kiwis in the Storm. They're almost the perfect amalgamation of New Zealanders and Australians, all playing within one successful team. Sounds pretty relevant to ANZAC day, no?
Another reason for the fixture is that we're both young clubs that don't have any geographical rivals like the QLD or NSW teams. Broadcasters love a story and with the above, I think there's enough to sustain this fixture as a meaningful one.

All true.
The story of our rivalry is as old as the Storm itself and is more legitimate in it's pedigree than many so called Darby matches.
Hell yeah brother - loved reading this, got me absolutely fizzing for the game. Bring on the team list, and then bring on Sunday!
Often the best rivalries are those who share common traits. With the Storm and us it is a common hatred of New South Wales. Till you live there you can't understand the enmity held by Victorians towards NSW.
I hope he goes well... Got shaken up in that trial game. A definite baptism of fire.Protecting Berry until the 11th hour, expect a different line-up come game time.
As interesting as this is, we still can’t tell what the actual team will be until game day judging by last week.VODAFONE WARRIORS v MELBOURNE STORM
