The NRL is such a dog shit scam. Big league wrap covered all the send offs and contentious calls from every game on the weekend except the most contentious one from our game. Not one fucking single mention like it never happened.

Im gobsmacked.
Wow I was going to watch that to see if it was mentioned. How does that not get discussed?! Just because it wasn't close? The other games weren't either

I went and read the game day thread on LU website to see what other NRL club fans said about the Curran send off.

That thread went off.

Every man disgusted including Storm fans.

Not one person could believe what was done to the Warriors, some said we needed to be the first team to walk off.

"Hello Vlandys Nathan Brown here....guess who aint playing next farking week if Curran gets banned"
The storm fans wanted a contest also by the sounds of it.

Everyone loses 🤬

Id say up there as the worst call I've ever seen. The sport is just in such a strange place right now with how to deal with physicality. It's a brutal game and shit happens but if its not intentional, reckless or dangerous than fucking play on

Why doesn't someone say or do anything about it? It's not like we live in Zimbabwe. Every other captain blows up way more for shit calls, why not ours? Every other coach gives it to them in the presser and cops the fine but why not ours? Why aren't management saying something? Where's Phil gould ?

Still no reply by the Warriors Monday evening, they been offered a one game ban to plead guilty.
Going by the camera angles on fox Curran is not Guilty.
Apology to be expected by the NRL for the sin bin and for providing the opposition a extra 18th man.

Some observations from the game
  • Cecchin/Lines persons/Bunker/Match Review Committee/Uncle Tom Cobbly are anti the Warriors
  • Why do refs allow teams to stand around watching the clock tick down before setting the scrum - don’t show the countdown on the big screen
  • Why does the ref call shot clock off when the scrum is nowhere near formed - let the clock run out and penalise someone (but not the Warriors)
  • When is advantage not over - obviously only after the Storm have gone 50 metres and failed to score
  • Why is it a penalty if a player is in front of the ball and collides with a defender - mate, that’s because it’s the Warriors
  • If the NRL are really interested about player safety why is it legal to tackle the kicker well after he has kicked it?
  • Why is it not an obstruction when the marker jumps out to get to the kicker but is obstructed by an opposition player standing to the side of the ruck & who deliberately moves into the path of the defender

  • When is advantage not over - obviously only after the Storm have gone 50 metres and failed to score
If they don't cross the line it probably goes unpunished. If you let someone go close to scoring you open the door for the bunker to review the entire play whether it's 5 or 95m down field.

Besides the fact they have a new rule this year, where the ref can basically play out the set if he so chooses and go back for foul play.

Even under the old rules there is still no advantage taken, because it was still the same play and the player was taken out by foul play.

Foul play trumps everything, in just about every situation in NRL.

But was it foul play?

Wasn't the Storm player in front of the ball.

Time to give the lawyer who defended Radley a call
He won't need him. It would take me 20mins to find footage setting a precedent as to why that is not even a one week ban.

They'll fight the charge and get off comfortably.

He's only been charged to save face for the referees and justify the sin binning.
