thought we got out coached hard in that game. look playing one up footy is only going to get you so far. with the new rules we really should be looking at lot of second phase play. a few offloads here and there tonight we would of had the knights in real trouble

That was a tough one. Thought we had done a lot of hard work and looked to be coming home stronger until that late try.

It would of been a good win to get as we have a tough few weeks up with the Raiders and the Roosters.

Our halves were terrible today, and what a surprise to see hiku miss a tackle that loses us the game!

Pompey comes in as a reserve, and with it takes over the place kicking duties?!? We do have 80min halves right?

We get some good go forward but we get bugger all quick play the balls out of it.

Even have Addin Fonua-Blake who often doesn't get put on the ground we barely get a fast play the ball.

That would help create some momentum to work off.

Our halves were terrible today, and what a surprise to see hiku miss a tackle that loses us the game!

We criticised Johnson for not running only fair that Nikorima should be questioned why he doesn't run. It shouldn't need a bet from one of the assistant coaches.

Chanel Harris-Tavita got lucky with the brain explosion kicking on the second tackle.

That was a costly miss from Hiku.

The penalty before half time also made things difficult keeping them up by 2.

Bit disappointing considering how much early good ball we had in the game.. we always stayed in the fight and lost when we let our guard down at the bell

It was an even game our disallowed try was the difference.
Couldn't understand the strategy with the back three doing the hard yards, but no lip dropping.

We must get better.

The Knights are a quality side, there's no doubt about it. So this game was a good reality-check for where we stand in the comp.

Jazz is a real liability isn't he? His brain explosion before HT cost 2 points and put the opposition in the lead. Dumb and no self-control.

I think we should try to not be melodramatic. We had a slow start but eventually we got into the grind of the game and were beginning to wear the Knights down physically. I actually thought over the entirety of the game, our pack won the battle.

The game really came down to execution- I really thought we dominated the second half but the two chances the Knights had came from our own mistakes- Roger Tuivasa-Sheck messing up a bomb and Ken deciding to let the ball bounce. The knights took both those chances with open arms and that was the difference. This was far from a horrible performance. Enough to build on.

Backs/spine are our biggest issue now. Get to work POS.

Why did the Sky Sport people go on about Bradman Best like he was the next immortal? Cluster f$$k to let the kick bounce from Ken and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and then a shocking miss from Hiku is what lost the game.
It's so frustrating as Hiku has actually been so much improved on d from how shit he was last year but then he goes back to 2019/20 mode when the game is on the line

We turned over a lot of ball in the first half. Although the completion rate was acceptable Newcastle didn't rarely turn anything over. We turned that around in the second half. But Newcastle kept theirs well up there.

They pretty much stayed in the contest waiting for us to make a mistake.

My real concern is the attack coaching. We spread it once on their line and scored. I don't blame the Halves ir roger....do we have another SK. Completions are not the be all end all!
