No he's not transparent with his players, this is one of the reasons he was shafted by N/castle.
He's like the anti-Todd Peyton, we've gone from Ming the Merciless with his painful measured honesty, to Dr Vague, a man who talks so fast you can't tell if you're listening to a mastercoach or a babbling brook of shit. Time will tell if we got the best bald evil genius or not.

Yea I remember that story as well which people don't understand. Not only his he learning first grade but he has had to completely change the type of player he is
Aw yea and how long is that going to take ? There are certain skills you can't train and just be good at. Look at Walsh, Walker, Shaun Johnson, Benji they all ripped teams up from a very young age , not saying they were perfect but they just have that natural ball playing ability. Cronk wasn't as talented but he had the most accurate kicks and passing which Chanel Harris-Tavita can only dream off.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the backline be the below come late mail:

1 - Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2 - Montoya
3 - Aitken
4 - Berry
5 - Pompey
6 - Walsh
7 - Niko

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at the back is important defensively and this gives us Walsh's boot up front. But when it's Brownie calling the shots, god knows.
Yes I like your line up better with Roger at the back calling the shots also put Reece closer to the Ball the problem is the kicking game who kicks the ball WHERE back corners or high ball what's the game plan....

Warriors Instagram page have a post mentioning Otukolu as a debutant with the team congratulating him - lock him in.

Hopefully comes in for Katoa rather than one of the props.

Best of luck to Otukolo if he does in fact get a run. Playing against amateur teenagers in a state wide competition then jumping to the NRL is a HUGE step up. The first adult that he is going to attempt to tackle in a match will be the likes of Klemmer or a Saifiti brother! It's a shame we couldn't convince Redcliffe to give him a run for their top side ahead of his debut. I'm sure he's done the mahi at training but she'll be an eye opener for him tomorrow

Let’s hope he’s been warming up his shoulders on Addin Fonua-Blake in training. Your right to type ”huge” in capitals, no other way to describe it but good luck to him, we’re all keen to see what he can bring.

Third person here that remembers the article, was on a website like Stuff or the Herald. And that's exactly what he said. Nothing wrong with aspiring to model your game on a player who had a very successful career, but not the natural breakneck speed and agility of someone like a Shaun Johnson which Chanel Harris-Tavita realises he doesn't have. The article does exist somewhere so worth having a read.

I often seeing emerging players getting written off, saying they are average after a handful of games and will never be first grade material. That's happened so much to our juniors this year. Chanel Harris-Tavita needs more work and he's admitted that. He has an awesome attitude and there is just something about him that just says "do not write him off". I hope he makes a good recovery from his latest setback.

Remember when the pitchforks were out when Nathan Cleary was having an average patch just 2 years ago? Seems hard to believe now.

Hahahaha comparing Cleary and Chanel Harris-Tavita.

An average patch vs. a below average career
