Not really, probably because he's one of only about 3 players (Tohu Harris and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck the other two) that consistently bends the line and makes over 100 metres a game.

Sorry haven't sent Ken bend the line at all this year. I know he can and I've seen him do it but even his little junk before the line is non existent. Its like he's just going through the emotions but not really there.

But even if we disagree on this do you think its enough to keep in the team when he can't score or defend?

When the forwards start having a crack and making more than say 40-50 metres(Tohu Harris and Ben Murdoch-Masila aside) a game then we can think about leaving ken out. Without him we'll have zero go forward outside of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Tohu Harris
This is a big problem.

Before Addin Fonua-Blake came along and Ben Murdoch-Masila, when Ken was not available, we struggle big time to get sets rolling.

Part of the problem is that fans think the Warriors can just tell the forwards to get back and be Ken.

Our three backs running mindset is so entrenched, like anything entrenched at the Warriors, that even if there is a forward ready, we revert to default mode, back three, one two three....

When Addin Fonua-Blake is in the side, he is so fit, he will over call for one of those runs and he is so fast and powerful that he can out match any back who should be more rested than him and still bend the line.

Kosi looks at the moment like he might have the right build, I would love to see him kept lean and hardened off, a sprinters build, Ala Sailor, not some soft looking dough boy that is ten foot tall and is kind of fastish.

Berry too, get those two doing mega sprint training and we might have a much better answer to life after Ken and Fusitua.

Which is why I am thrilled Kosi is in the team again with Berry.

Thrilled Evans is in the team, part of the reason he gets away with lying in the ptb more than the others is his height, the Refs takes into account he is not someone that can spring up like a smaller man.

He does get pinged here and there but its worth it.

Pleased Curran gets a chance to redeem himself.....agree with everyone sensible saying edge defence is the problem.

I would add that we have lost two games because we have not had our near perfect completions.

We have strike power now, keep the ball, control territory, use it to unleash boy wonder and Kodi...Roger Tuivasa-Sheck too.

Very happy about Aitken being near ready, and super stoked one of our three best forwards is back in Ben Murdoch-Masila.

Excited to see what change Brown makes with Walsh this week. I suspect he will bring him off the bench in the first half perhaps.

Really enjoying all the talking points on these team naming Tuesdays. Good laughs from seeing people throw their toys too....ah well they love to hate the Warriors because they love the Warriors.

Hopefully we win so I can post something infantile like Nathan Brown says stick it .

You haven't seen him bend the line lol..the guy averages 174 run metres a game, that's second only to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck..that's triple some of our forwards. Admittedly he wasn't great against manly, but who do you replace him with? Montoya lol? Mate, Montoya couldn't even get a run at the Bulldogs. Do you honestly think the result against manly would have been any different if Montoya had played instead of ken? Seriously, it wasn't Ken's fault we lost, the team as a whole dropped it nuts. We were disgusting in the middle after halftime.. Montoya wouldn't have stopped a rampaging Tommy turbo lol.

He's been playing with a sternum injury all season, there is a strong possibility he is getting needled up to play every game. Much the same as I think it was Mannering in 2018 was?

Sternum injuries can be really niggly, and tend to hang around for quite awhile. Good luck running back into the meat of an NRL defensive line with full confidence.

So more reason to give him a spell no?

I know kens not the problem, I like Ken. I think he's done wonderfully well from some really early poor expectations.

But there's been too many times this season where a faster winger would have scored no problem whereas ken doesn't even go for the line. He doesn't even pace his centre and look for a offload becase he knows there's no point, he doesn't have the pace to beat anyone. With his injury his kick returns and hit ups are also less impactful.

Not sure who you play just try someone fast and go front here. Cant be any worse

Yeah I fail to see how dropping our 2nd biggest metre eater makes us a better team. He does so much work getting us off our goal line and starting our sets. Ken wouldn't be any slower than Pompey, kosi or Fusitua. I'm all for getting a speedster but if you get rid of ken then you need someone to pick up his workload. Who's gonna do that?

Yea im not sure on the stats but im sure that the main reason why hes getting those many metres is the amount of touches hes getting and to be honest, they havn't been quality touches. Give any winger those amount of touches, they would get the same amount, if not more metres. Hes actually just running into defenders instead of trying to get away from them which frustrates me the most.

It’s true, sternum injury not withstanding his meters per carry are well down this season. He has 28 other wingers ahead of him on that stat. Kens usually at the top of the pile amongst wingers for tackle breaks but has 20 wingers ahead of him there too so the stats bare out what many of us are seeing.

We saw how overstated his "meters" were last year when we had loan wingers who did just as much plus scored trys with some pace.
