Has anyone got a link to the Hiku news, can’t see anything online about him being out for the year. Huuuuuge if true.

As said earlier, definitely not the team we’ll see on game day. I’m guessing Walsh and Nikorima switch, and we’ll find a way to bring Aitken in to the starting team.

Also, Evans is the only prop making any meters lately. Has a bit of fire in him and playing his old club, he’ll be aiming up and I’m thinking we’ll see some fireworks
I remember on the Roo and Hammer interview with Peta he mentioned he could be out for the year that was nearly a month ago

Hmm, someone who scored 8 tries and 9 try assists in a quiet year last year, then the two previous years the player outside him was named Winger of the Year.

Easily our best attacking centre, and one of the reasons we’ve struggled to score points outside of these last two weeks.
Great points and I like Hiku. But we are becoming a better attacking team across the park and won't rely on his kind of play as much. If he was a strong defender than absolutely he would stay, but with Aitken, Berry and Pompey I doubt he stays unless it is a really low contract

Shithouse team selection. I get we have a few injuries but no accountability for poor performances. There’s enough players to make some changes. I’ll keep an eye out for the team list 24 hours before kick off.

It’s an eels team with nothing to lose. People making a big deal about the exemption denial, a lot even writing them off and predicting an upset win by us. Not having two bench players able to train with the team during the week will not affect them in the slightest. Eels 13+ easily.

Would of thought katoa would of made his way into the team for Curren, the spine I don't thinknhe could make to many changes but also thought jazz hasn't been affective at all the last two weeks?

I agree that an upset win is still unlikely. But i think you are underestimating the disadvantage that Jakob Arthur will have, being a debutant and not training with the team all week.
If Joey Lussick is going to come in for Reed Mahoney after his head knock, them it becomes a significant disadvantage.

Though, Warriors teams throughout the years find a way to make opposition rookies play like Origin stars.

Everyone knows Jakob Arthur ain’t playing. Matterson will go into the halves. Hipgrave to bench.

Just means Stone is the only guy who will play without training. Potentially Lussick as well if Mahoney fails HIA.

Not a massive disadvantage IMO. They’ve trained together all preseason and 9 rounds. It’s only two players max, probably only one.

Zero interest in watching this team play. I know Brown thinks he’s REALLY clever with the game day switcharoo but the only people he’s upsetting are fantasy players.

With injuries it is what it is. But I’m not planning on watching if Kosi plays. Nothing against him personally, but I don’t want watch a rookie propwing team up with a veteran propwing to cost us another game.

Evans STILL starting is an extremely poor message to the rest of the team after his defence cost us two tries.

Presumably Walsh starts since SuperCoach said he made a mistake benching him this week. But who knows. Something like this might be interesting. Although Chanel Harris-Tavita’s kicking was miserable again and I’m becoming more and more convinced he should be the one that moves to hooker.

6. Walsh
7. Chanel Harris-Tavita
9. Nikorima
14 Egan
Wah wah wah the team isnt exactly how I want it to be 😭

Hiku is out for the season!
It’s good to have experienced depth but this isn’t a huge blow in my opinion. Our biggest weakness right now is edge defence.

There’s no way Hiku could be selected ahead of Pompey or Aitken. They are both miles better.

I actually prefer Berry over Hiku also. And if Vailea continues playing like he did on the weekend, then his first grade development becomes more important than Hiku as a fourth string centre.

Hopefully we can buy out Hiku and Turner to clear the roster spots.

Hiking had an outstanding game defensively in round 1, maybe he was turning the corner.. then his shoulder goes

Brown has absolutely lost the plot if Walsh doesn't start. Kosi isn't grade standard yet, he's pretty much been thrusted into the team early due to injuries. I'm surprised he played last week too be honest having almost single handidly handing the cowboys the game the week before. Aitken to centre, Pompey to the wing, Ben Murdoch-Masila and katoa in for sironen and Curren and we need to bring a prop up and give them a go in place of Jamayne Tounua-Brown, who makes like 40 metres a game. We seriously can't drop Ken until our props pull their finger and have a crack. They being zero go forward. Evans played ok but we really do rely on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and ken for go forward, our forwards barring Tohu Harris, Ben Murdoch-Masila and jazz are weak as piss.

Hiku actually always had the odd strong and aggressive defensive game. Without seeing them strung together I wouldn't out my money on turning a corner
