This game just shows we aren’t good enough, patches of good play but Eels along with the top 5 are light years ahead. At best this year will be making the 8, 6-8 will be making up the numbers anyways

Despite the errors in the first half, proud of the fightback.

Lots of promise from the Warriors, the scoreboard flatters the Eels.

A bit of a comedy how much it takes for the ref's to give us a set restart. But hey this is the NRL, what do you expect?

When Addin Fonua-Blake gets back we could cause some trouble.

Walsh has to start.

No time for blooding or rebuild. The time is now.

Not much to say other than Walsh has to start, Chanel Harris-Tavita needs to be in lock or hooker, too many mediocre players that need to be cleared out and I don't think Brown is the man to turn this club into legit contenders

I will probably sound wingey but the new rules make it so hard to wrestle momentum. We havs seen it for weeks now.
I actually thought we defended quite well which sounds stupid after conceeding 34 points but I think it speaks for the game.

second half showed what they could do. but telling them to throw it round early while everyone was fresh was a move i would expect from a 2 time wooden spooner

First half was miserable. No respect for the ball means no chance. Side looked instantly better attack wise with Walsh on board. Partly because of that we looked like we were in with a chance in the 2nd half. Kid really is a special talent.

Not sure what it was but the team looked very flat that first half. Zero interest or confidence. They looked scared.

Wasn't t the best idea to line Berry up against Sivo but theres nothing unusal about baptisms by fire. If the kids gonna play NRL then he's going to have to step up to the plate sooner or later. No winger will ever stop someone that size backtracking or planting. Especially a kid like Berry. That edge did look better with Euan out there but they are still a long way off stopping the soft tries we get scored on us out wide.

Bit of a catch 22 with the pack. Really needed them to step up but thats near impossible when you spend so much of the game defending your teams silly mistakes. While most people moan about our 5th tackle options in the oppositions 30s this game was our 1st tackle options in OUR 30! Guess Brown was looking to blow the Eels out of the park early. You dont do that 4 times in the first 20 minutes and with someone as reliable as Tohu Harris without it being the game plan.

We lost this game in the first quarter when thye were scoring a touch over a point a minute but at least we made it a little more respectable at the end.

Plenty to work on and I'd start with our possession rate. Especially early in the game...

Seemed like the gameplan was to go wide early from the start and we couldnt execute it. That's what put us on the back foot and defending so much early. Either bad strategy or poor execution, maybe both.

I hope this is the last game Chanel Harris-Tavita starts. That last play summed up his playmaking skills, its the last play of the game, Fergo is standing on 1 leg and he kicks straight to him.

Browns the reason we’re losing at the moment. These team selections are killing us. Every time Walsh is on the field we look really good. He’s waiting till we’re pretty much dead and gone before he puts him on. If Walsh starts that game at 5/8 I think we win. Roger needs to stay at fullback. Channel to make way for Walsh. Channel through away way too many opportunities today. Couldn’t create a try to save his life today. Pompey needs to go to wing with Berry and Aitken in the centre’s. Brown needs to suck it up and drop Maumalo.

Spine needs to be reshuffled Walsh and Kodi in the halves Tohu Harris should go back to second row we looked much better with him there bring Katoa back

Chanel Harris-Tavita moves to 14 to sub Egan and Pompey shifts to the Wing

Brown really needs to make the hard decisions because he's wasting a potential finals year in favour of a rebuild/development year stop the chop and changing and put the best squad out

I wish we could clone Walsh 10 rimes so we can play him in each backline position - and have a few in reserve for injuries - Get rid of Ken, Fusitua, Chanel Harris-Tavita, Pompey - all useless

If we play Kearney ball in the first half the score is close.

But no. we concede over one hundred tackles to the Eels and complete two of our own sets.

Pretty much NRL suicide and it really pisses me off since these blokes know how to play retention ball.

Do that and we win.

However you cannot ignore that we have a serious team when Walsh is added. Therefore our future is clear.

We need to be patient till Walsh is allowed to p[lay eighty. After that the Warriors score more than their opposites/....ergo we win.

Add Addin Fonua-Blake to that mix and anticipate Tohu Harris and Roger are not going to play their worst games...and we arrive as a new threat in this competition.

Yep very flat, low energy in the sheds before the game compared to the Eels and started that way.
