This is a good side on paper.
Really excited and hoping they turn up.
But to keep myself sane I'm going in expecting a lack of energy combined with poor refereeing, then anything above that will be a bonus.

Two teams that look like contenders this year.
The head says its a 50/50 call.
I mean they have the stars like Brimson, Tino, Fafita, the under rated Kelly, the unpredictable Peachey.
But we have more firepower across the park than them, than almost any team I reckon.
With the new rules creating a bit more space you need live wires.
Our forward pack/rotation is the best I have seen since 2002/2003 and we have Evans and Murchie to come back into the selection mix.
Addin Fonua-Blake is a monster.
For mine Katoa is every bit as good as Fafita and Tino.
A great decision maker with the complete skill set.
Nikorima, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Hiku to set the first round alight.

agree, why would you show your hand two weeks before you fire a shot in anger at the same team....would've been interesting if the trial was against say a round 6/7 opponent.

Apart from those bombs hiku seemed pretty upbeat..

Don’t mind Katoa on that left edge if Brownie lines him up that way, Sirronen and SOS could barely contain Fafita in the trial match where Katoa and Chanel Harris-Tavita should offer us more in that department.
The other main attacking threat is Brimson. Titans don’t really work to strip you of numbers as much as try to get between defenders and promote second phase play with late offloads so can’t afford to clock off around the ruck with the likes of AJ Brimson/ Corey Thompson sniffing around.
If they do break through our line I’m hoping our cover defense and scramble is on point like at the backend of the trial where it held strong.

Getting them down there end and keeping them there will be easy but penalties and errors from us I see hurting lots.
Also I thought we looked a bit rushed and not composed enough in the trial.
Hope Chanel Harris-Tavita and the guys are more composed tomorrow.
