Straight away I admit that my knowledge of fashion is limited and care levels even lower.

However, in the name of all things good and holy did anyone think that bushpig jersey is a good idea.

If the ref has any vision we are 3 penalties down before kickoff. This post shows I am getting old and set in my ways. I dont care, that jersey is crap.

Condolences Wrighty, its a bummer losing anyone and probably made worse at a time when you cant travel.
I am not sure we need Jazz as a backup hooker, we now have a hooker that an play 80 minutes or close too and we having Lawton on the bench or on the field means we have half and hooker cover, same with Kodi and then we have Roache to come back sometime.
Also agree he aint the best at it, the comment about the bouncing balls brought some bad memories, we have seen recently what good ball from our hooker can do, we cant go back to that.

Look at the expressions on the faces of the Tohu Harris and Blairy (don't count Roger Tuivasa-Sheck too much of a professional) say what, your making me wear this jersey and now you want to take my photo in it?
*hopefully first Titan to mock it gets a Wiki inspired "Sparta" run straight at them

Thanks Tragic, this is a very supportive and mature group we have on this message board. I may have missed the fun of the Iron Lion days as I am a new member, but appreciate being a member of this group of classy New Zealanders. Thanks to all of you for being good sorts over the couple of years I have been a member here. Cheers.

Hi Wellington orca
And posting team in general
It was my grand father who died. He was 96 so it was very much expected but still hit heavily. Am ok now and ready to move on after taking a day off work on bereavement leave.

will address a couple of posters who replied to me starting with Wellington orca. I think there was a Wellington dolphin in the 70s named Opo wasn’t there. And I vaguely recall a killer whale that made the news as well.

regarding your post w orca
I did address your concerns in my post. I said burr probably wasn’t considered as they have labelled a prop in 2020
And I addressed ice by saying although he has plenty of games he is on a glacial learning curve so effectively Lawton is far more seasoned than Ice despite the appearance to the contrary. Are you ok with that summation or would you like to bounce back and forth.

the second person works like to address Is off the bench. Thanks for your condolences you are a gentleman ( as all of you are )
Just be sure to recognise my suggestion is jazz as third booker only to be used in times of injury.
i think we are over investing if we have three nrl standard Hookers next year. Especially when cu**s like Chanel Harris-Tavita or keighran if he resigns can do a makeshift job there. We also have kodi Nikorima In our midst who has played hooker in a test.

the top thirty spots is precious let’s not waste spots on all of Lawton Egan and roache next year. Pick Two of them.
then plan on having a part timer if we get desperate

if jazz sucks so much that his passes bounce four times before they reach blake green line the cool suggested then by all means let’s discard jazz from the mix of options. I do stand behind my concept.

i Don’t know what i make if Payton yet but it will be interesting to see what he makes if jazz. Payton took one look at Curran’s fat ass in a game and now he seems to be well down the pecking order. Jazz is a very divisive figure and he polarises. I am anti jazz. I don’t rate him as a nrl player but will keep an open mind for tomorrow.
The coaches seem to like him so I am resigned to him playing. Hence I suggest roles for him to play occasionally
A lot of teams carry three hookers
Your theory is not taking into account injuries suspensions an with the new His rules we need the cover .
It's a critical position .We are taking a gamble on Roach staying fit .I would definitely say it's his last chance .But if he stays fit he pays big dividends. He is that good .

Lawton is in a different category as he can cover the halves .Hooker .an Center an the back row
If you remember Lance Hohia he is one of our legends much the same comes on in any position an gives it heaps an can create an finish opportunities.

Jazz has to stand on his own as a forward .A lot of us have our doubts
But he's chosen his path .an I hope he proves himself.

I have thrown in the towel on Jazz personally being that utility third hooker I am advocating as sure his service was "inconsistent".
The only point I want to push is the 2021 squad and how many specialist hookers to carry.
We don't really have an ISP team - although apparently we can get 5-6 of our reserve cu**s a game with the redcliffe dolphins (I think they are the dolphins).

Is it even fair to have some one say as a good as an aging Jake Granville here as third string, or more realistically Lawton sitting around just waiting. By the way, right now Lawton is playing second row, He most likely will be put back to hooker depth role next year as we are getting Ben Murdoch-Masila and if lucky Hethers. Our 11 12 and 13 stocks include Ben Murdoch-Masila Katoa Murchie Tohu Harris and if we are really lucky Hetherington, Jazz, and maybe Ice may also get resigned, there is also king. That's maybe 7-8 dudes so while Lawton is getting cast as a lewis brown right now if he stays next year I doubt greatly he will be getting time in the pack.

As I say it is fair to a third string specialist hooker like Lawton will be to sit around for 3-4 starts per year.

if we get desperate I am sure Hayze Perham could go ok. And Niko is an option.

I like your point in your post and nearly changed my mind about the increased occurrences of compulsory stand downs due to HIAs.

Convince me further if you are up for it, how many games do you see the third stringer getting next year. I have suggested 3-4 tops. Do you think more?

This is just my opinion it's no more valid than your own .
The storm carry 3 hookers .just for context
Historically we use two hookers per game .Nathan Friend is the exception for us .
So with the team we have now ideally we will play Egan for the first 50 minutes where
He will keep our forwards on the front foot an guide the team around .
From the 50 th minutes we will bring on Roach to exploit the gaps around the ruck an expose
Tired forwards
I believe Lawton will be used as a player who can cover the backline an second row
This is going to be a relatively new role due to the new HIA rules
Unfortunately that means we will see a bench of
Roach
Lawton an two forwards an if one of them is Jazz we are going to have a very small bench

So Egan might well be an 80 minute hooker which is good but we won't have the same
Holes exploited around the ruck an the extra energy that Roach will inject .
But we will get an extra big body out there .
An then Roach will have to wait for Egan to get injured or Hia stand down or suspended
In which case it's 4 plus games a year an with our luck 10 plus
Either way all three will be used .

Well I’m out on survey all day tomorrow so I’ll record and watch later.

I'm a little bit excited about tomorrow's game....so by about 10:30 am my time, chances are I'll be really disappointed!

I think Jazz in short spells off the bench will suit the new rules...but he's not a hooker, even a back up hooker..
