Reality is that without Hetherington on loan, Vuniyawara would be on the bench.

Different story if we had Afoa and LAM available - also Ben Murdoch-Masila next year. Happy to see Vuniyawara have more cracks this year though.

Kearney would have dropped Lawton, play Jazz 80min at 13 and have a bench like the below with Heatherington coming on at the 77th minute.

Paasi on the bench is a master stroke. He is bullying tired defenders. Ice's try was sex.

I say we dump Roache and keep Jazz as our third hooking option next year.
Jazz, if we use him off the bench offers himself as a utility bench player. ie can play 9 or 13.

I can see Titans winning this, they are a new side under their new coach.

If he gets his body right .He is a future kiwi great.
Him an Egan are going to be a great hooker combo
Being that they both bring different aspects to the game .

Jazz doesn't want to be hooker .He has said this himself.
If you go back through the jazz thread the article should be there .
Also he's not very good at it .I Know logic says given his size an tenacity

Lawton will almost certainly be at left back row again to baby sit turnstile Hiku. The team hasn't lined up 1-13 as named once since resumption, dunno who Peyton thinks he's fooling - Seems like the mind-game team namings might have been his idea all along rather than SK's.

Jazz is not a hooker. No vision, no pass, no running game, his only value in the middle is as a tackle-bot and that's not what you want off the bench. They tried to take someone who played lock all his junior life and turn him into a hooker in reserve grade because they thought he was too small, but you can't teach instinct - compare him to Brandon Smith who's been a hooker since at least age 12.

When you look at it Lawton has been great for us. He is a competitor, he and Jazz are similar in that respect. Both give max effort and play above their size. Such players can be inspirational in a squad.
