Why do they think they are clever doing the old jedi mind trick - listing Hiku/Paasi in the reserves when you know come friday more than likely they will be in the team/interchange, does he really think he is being clever old nostrils? Is he the only one that can see about the halves battle, two young whippits in the cowboys against our grandad. The cowboys have listed a strong looking team - could be messy.

A few players worth mentioning:

Harris - averaging 174m and 42 tackles - legend!
Katoa - averaging 140m and 27 tackles
Blair - averaging 101m and 30 tackles - performing so let’s move him out of prop
Jamayne Tounua-Brown - averaging 108m and 29 tackles

The makings of a good pack this season. Special mention in regards to the halves:

Kodi - 6 tackle busts; 2 line break; a try assist; 2 tries most average runs and run meters of the halves, kicking goals now - except for general play kicking he’s our premier half.

Get our first choice back line fit and we will be competitive.

Lose this and the season looks pretty dire.

Do we really have top 8 hopes? We have scored half the points of the bottom team and thats the only team we have beaten. If we win 1 of our next 3 games it will be a miracle. I can see a scenario we go into Round 9 on the same number of points as the Dragons but a better points differential - so bottom equal on points, the Titans will get another win or 2 and the Dragons will beat the Sharks.
Beating the Cowboys is a mountain to climb, keep your expectations low. Be happy if we get a Try.

SK to be sacked as Head Coach along with the rest of the coaching staff.
Blair to be made Player/coach with Green Player/Attacking Coach.
Both immediately granted themselves five year extensions to their playing contracts.

Once we get Fusi back on the wing, Herbert back at center and Maumolo back along with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, we just need one quick center and the back line is good to go.

I'm guessing it'll be Paasi replacing Murchie, and Hiku replacing Perham.

That way the bench is 2 props, a backrower, and a hooker which provides some nice balance. Wouldn't surprise me to see Papali'i come in either, probably Kearneys attempt at a wake up call to name him in the reserves.

God I can't wait for the starting backline to be back!

Hiku to come in for Perham most likely. Surely keep Herbert on the wing is dumb when you have a natural fullback able to push out one.

Perham ran for 147m and maybe too many of those metres were above turtle speed.

Yeah I'm torn on this. There's nothing really wrong with Herbert - he tackles well and runs hard. I see him as being a serviceable center, but below average wing. Doesn't have the pace, height, and seems to lack that real wingers ability to finish.

So do you go with Herbert, who you know will give you a 6 out of 10, or do you go with a Perham who might give you an 8 but is just as likely to give you a 2?

Of course, it's Kearney and we know he hates excitement so step right up Mr Herbert.

Need Fusitua back, but on the wing. Herbert to move in one. Someone to take Beales place. As much as Greens shocking run of form he will still play the rest of the year, see out his contract then new halves pairing next year.

Warriors v Cowboys, Friday 6pm (8pm NZT) at Central Coast Stadium

Warriors: Peta Hiku will start at centre for Hayze Perham with Angatius Paasi dropping out of the reserves list on Thursday. Lachlan Burr replaces Isaiah Papali'i in the starting pack in the Warriors' other change. The Warriors have won only two of their past 13 games against the Cowboys in Australia.

Cowboys: The Cowboys announced on Thursday that Jason Taumalolo would be part of the team to face the Warriors. The Tonga representative missed round four due to bone bruising on his knee. Ben Hampton, Jake Granville and John Asiata are out, with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow debuting on the wing, Reece Robson at hooker, Coen Hess in the second row and Gavin Cooper moving to the bench. Reuben Cotter joins the interchange. Corey Jensen and Peter Hola were omitted from the extended squad 24 hours before kick-off. Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt has scored nine tries in six games against the Warriors.
