Yeah i saw Kodi stand a bit flatter on occasions and it allowed him to take that first step forward and draw the markers out. Everything flowed a lot better when they played flatter and faster, rather than a couple of deep and slow passes two wide. I was hoping to see Roger push up flat as a first receiver but unfortunately didn't happen too often
Egan darts out like Nathan Brown.
Could be some coaching there.
Brown took it on when opportunity knocks.
Hopefully when Egan gets confident we will get this junior prodigy they spoke of.
But pretty happy with his game management at the moment.

You know how the parents get together at the end of the soccer match and huddle around and announce player of the match. And how it always goes to
a) some kid who hasn't won it in a while
b) the kid who busted his ass the most rather than the dude who scored two goals.

Just watched the first half again and the parents would pick Adam Blair. Dude hustled like it was the last game of league he will play in his life. Per Weno's point, he set a great example for the young players.

To be fair he’s been pretty awesome since restart. Seems to get better the longer he grows his hair... keep the scissors away from him !

What happened to Papalii?

was he completely dropped from the squad?

that is a ballsy move if SK did it

I think it made a MASSIVE difference to our forward attack

I hate to say it but he really offered absolutely nothing with the ball

Also despite all my Kearney concerns, that standing up fists clenched moment they caught reminded me of my former self in the lounge every week. I used to pace the lounge for 80mins without noticing riding every play, my mrs thought i'd lost the plot. These days i'm a bit too beaten down for that, I really want this club to bring that feeling back for me. That from Kearney is the pure raw emotion I like to see, not that fake "woops didn't know I was being recorded there" toothless shout we saw from Cameron George in the pre season.

If Afoa was fit to play would anyone have him in their 17?
Everyday of the week, hard runs back in behind the ruck with a reasonable PTB speed. His running suits the new 6 again rule. Plus his tackle rate is usually around the 95-100% effective rate.

Edit - Just as an add on, when i'm thinking about a player in the forward pack, especially the prop rotation. It's best to look at them not just as a singular entity, think of them as a cog in a machine with a bunch of moving parts. A forward pack is all about balance, and different body shapes. Bunty brings something different in terms of body/play style that differs from our other props, and that makes him a great asset.

I can only speak for myself but i would, i havent forgotten how hard he ran and how much effort he put in, tbh i cant wait for his return, will make a big difference. I like Burr hes a hard worker but Bunty would come in at his expense based on the last few games..was a hard choice to make

Kodi is really starting to channel his late 2018 form now - he’s had his two best games in a Warriors jumper against the Dragons two weeks ago and against the Cowboys last night. Needs to replicate it against decent opposition however, Cowboys with a half fit Lolo and without Holmes, McLean and Morgan is a very average side.

Katoa Is a weapon. Green was much better last night however I’m still counting down the days till he’s gone. Big concern is how we’re using Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, he needs more space to be effective.

Agree, need him linking in the block plays like pretty much every other fullback

I reckon he took taumalolo on head on. He was the most insensed when he defected from the kiwis.
