Cant believe I backed and talked up the Broncos to win the comp before round 3 started. Now its round 20 and they're in the fucking spoon bowl.

Haven't watched channel 9 coverage of league for ages so thought I'd give it a go today. It has really gone downhill...fox coverage is far superior.

Broncos to supply the pikelets - or whatever picnic crap Aussies eat - for Mad Monday, made with that fancy-dancy New Wooden Spoon of theirs.

Never thought I'd see the Broncos legitimately - ie do it by being crap rather than by having competition points deducted for salary cap breaches etc - win the wooden spoon before the team that we all know and love so dear.

Never thought they'd do it before the Warriors, either.

Really enjoyed that game, respect to Darius for an incredible career, shame it had to end like that.

It's been a rollercoaster year ending on a bit of a high for us. Thinking back to March it's a miracle we got any NRL let alone the full amended schedule and finals to come. It's helped keep me sane this year, not looking forward to going back to reality after the GF.

That's a good point...Because they will not improve overnight...

We'll talk about an end of a train crash for the Broncos.
The team lost the ability to win, considering they won their first two games pre covid, and the Roosters lost their first two games.
On paper had a top four team, but just didn't live up to it. Really hard to get your head around, maybe not enough experience on the field. Just shows you have to have a balanced team, something I hope we are building towards.

So glad the Broncs lost last night. They had a team stacked with so much talent, as well as a (previously) highly regarded coach, yet they have been hands down the worst team in the comp. They leaked a net 356 points, double the next worse side!

Glad they didn't manage to jag a win at the last minute.

Key injuries early damaged their momentum and they never recovered. Lost the understanding of how to do anything other than lose.

they were comically injured, they couldn't even get through the last game of the year without a major injury - but its not like the warriors aren't putting out half a reserve grade team either.

technically the years the bulldogs and storm were done for rorting and given the spoon will always be the best teams to finish last
