I'm sorry guys but we ain't winning this week.
You don't grow a backbone in 10 days.
Kearney has trained us poorly. Look at the game last week. It's was one of the worst team performances I have ever seen from this club. That's on Kearney. He has taken this team back so far that it will be years before we get anywhere near to where we were all those years ago under Cleary.
Team looks fat, lazy, offers nothing on attack, no drive, no enthusiasm and no plan B.
It's almost like the team has deliberately been told to calm down, relax and do things slowly.
The players remind me of the PNG lads I work with. They are so used to having to walk 4 days to get anywhere, they just walk slowly to conserve energy.
The team didn't stay back in Australia to show everyone they have a backbone, I wouldn't be surprised if the NRL offered them $100 grand each to stay. Knowing that the financial implications of shutting down the comp would be far greater.
It's a financial decision to stay. Not because they want to prove a point.
If they wanted to prove a point, they wouldn't have gone out there last week and delivered on of the lowest energy game I have seen in my 30 odd years of watching league.

I'm with The Falcon,we did it at 2019 seasons end.
Even if they rested a few,1st grade careers are up for grabs.

Given the high likeliness that the season may be cut short or even cancelled at some stage, I think they should go out with the attitude that they're playing for a finals spot every weekend.
Unfortunately, I don't think our team has the "right stuff" to do it nor do I think the current coach has the ability to motivate them, train them or give them the game plan to do it.
