This team has no pulse, and they're stealing years off my life.

We pay Blair, Green, and Kearney roughly a combined 2 million dollars or so a season. Let that sink in.

Positives

The effort was there

Defensively we looked pretty good

We scored

Chanel Harris-Tavita cut this hair

Katoa is a beast

I’ll let the rest of you share the negatives....

Good:
- Goal line defence was pretty good. Their tries came from kicks and exploiting our lack of speed.
- We finally got a try, although even then it took the bunker to give it to us.
- AK looked good at times. Him on one side and Hiku on the other would be a nice combo.
- Katoa is an absolute gem. I hope he gets as many minutes as we can throw at him.

Bad:
- Blair. This guy is trash, and the sooner we get rid of him the better.
- Fusitua desperately needs to move back to wing. He does not have the skillset needed to be a centre, him and Pompey/Herbert offers no variation on attack when paired together.
- Offence. We're still doing one out run it up the guts, which simply doesn't work with the troops we have. When we finally started chucking it around in the last 5 minutes we actually looked OK.

Edit - Harris ran well and made alright metres. Also solid on dee. AK, Apart from a few drop balls looks like he could be handy at centre for us.

Good effort but probably half the players just aren’t up to first grade standard. Whoever coaching running the attack needs the boot.

really like whats coming through with the youngsters, thought Tohu Harris tried hard but no back up as usual .... we really need to drop Green and Blair moving forward they dont offer anything that someone like AK and Papalii can already do.....

Don’t know about you but 6 games without the Mrs playing footy on the gold coast sounds great.

I'm a believer now that Sk should go.

We looked better with Niko out there - I've give it to Green, he's a workhouse but he just doesn't suit the make up of this team. We need to play quicker and up tempo but he slows everything down.

Chanel Harris-Tavita was quiet although he started the game well.

Katoa is definitely a beast.

The whole selection of this team is off - Blair I do feel bad for because he tried hard but his handling errors fucked us bad.
Fusitua at centre just isn't working - hes a threat on the wing and we're a team that needs points.
Maumalo got shown up today - he only looks good with Hiku outside of him.
Why did Mooks choose King for the bench? Young fella has a couple handling errors but was otherwise busy, but with a team lacking experience in the forwards surely Pulu would've been a better option?
Think we miss Paasi as well - when he's back I'd be keen to see either Blair or Papal'ii flicked.

This season will be a write off - based in Aussie, bad coaching with an inevitable coach axeing iminent - may as well back some youth and guys like ATG to come in and stake their claim.

It's imperative that our Mohawk owner drives some aggresive recruiting for next season - starting with bringing Shaun Johnson back home...

Sadly have to say I saw the same. Hopefully not another career ruined by us.

Bullshit. I'm sorry to say after 2 games in I can't wait for 2021 season to start. Supporter from day 1 but hey patience is gone. I would rather see them get some loan players from over there who are on the fringes looking for a chance wouldn't be worse than what we got.

The one positive.

The best player on the field, a rookie of 6(?) rugby league games.

The Fusitua to centre experiment is a failure.

AK was the NSW cup centre of the year, he held his own and can stay there.

And our dear veterans - Green and Blair are a retirement fund.

Blairs dropsies today were inexcusable (yes, even after a head knock), Katoa went off with a head knock and came back on the field playing with the same intensity before he went off (yes, fan boy here).

And finally....

Fuck off with the "participation award" we deserver better.

Agreed on all the Kearney, Blair and Green comments. That old boys network will be tough to split though.
Our only "signing" Wade Egan is a complete dud. No running game, no creativity, inaccurate passing and soft on D.
