Can really hear the hits with no crowd noise.

It will be interesting to see whether the reffing will be better or worse without the pressure/distraction from the crowd.

Might see a lot more forward passes without the crowd to spot them. No one there to keep the refs honest about a consistent 10 for both sides (not that it ever was).

I thought we might be able to hear more talk. Its a bit more but hard to make out. Still the main person you hear is the ref mic'd up.

At the moment its not that strange, getting used to it.

Normally they have the Ref mics turned right up, due to the crowd noise muffling out the majority of player chat. But given there is no crowd, chances are they have turned the ref mics right down.

yeah first few minutes it was a tad strange but soon got used to it. the sound of the hits was amazing. You tend to forget how hard these guys hit. This is why its the most physical of all the footy codes
