dominant tackles get met with release calls pretty quickly.
Not that it has anything to do with the result as I think we lost the game, but in general I gotta say thats one area of NRL reffing that is sooooo inconsistent, I dont know if half of the refs know what one actually is. Possibly they have never actually tackled somebody in their life is one reason.
It's absurd a team gets penalised for excellent tackles, they earn the right, thats why it is called dominant and not just tackled.
What should get penalised is players dragging players around sideways after completing the tackle, in effect to cause a slow PTB, that never gets penalised.
They need an annual game against the refs to remind them of what really impedes a game.
