It really comes down to who starts, Papalii or Murchie. On top of that who would make the better bench impact. In that light I think he has it right. Katoa needed a break.
Jazz has his faults but is a competitor, a real junkyard dog type player. We have nowhere the depth to be able to drop him.
Chanel Harris-Tavita may yet play but Turner has to have the mindset that he is starting. Sounds like he is training the house down, and everybody has to start somewhere.
Unfortunate to lose Herbert, but Perham has had an apprenticeship and should be ready. Less of a risk than Hopoate.
Win lose or draw, as long as they show the same collective effort and teamwork as recent weeks I am happy.

If you were going to blood Turner, this would be the game I’d think. Nothing really at stake, against a mediocre side, a halves partner in form and a forward pack playing with confidence.
Also gets to play his preferred position which hasn’t usually been the case with young warriors standoffs. I’ll be watching him with interest.

I agree, in theory Beale offer experience & a steady calming influence. In reality, a player way past his best, offering nothing in attack and still prone to defensive lapses.
I can’t see another nNRL club offering him a contract - maybe ESL.?

How did Turner show in the pre-season trials? I saw him in the Nines and he looked to have a good side step. How is he as a game manager and distributor? Anyone?

Hard to gauge with all the different positions he's played wrighty.
His highlights mainly show off
his speed & step.
A game I saw of him that I was impressed with, Was a game against St George. Put Hayze into a gap with a beauriful short pass. Hayze passed it off to Turner in support. Then chip & chased , Regathered the kick, step the fullback and threw a bullet pass to Setu Tu to score.
Yes, It was only reggies. Ticked a few boxes that game.
Good long & short passing game.
Good short kicking game.
Good support runner.
Awesome speed.
Great step.
Defense isn't that bad. Can get lazy & throw the arm out.
Game management needs some work. Didn't see much talk from him. Or any organising of the troops around him. AK was doing that. Still young & plenty of time to grow into his position.

While I want to see Chanel Harris-Tavita fit to play on Sunday, viewing that highlights reel gets me hyped for Turner to be named if he isn't. Do it Payten.

Yup, They're good mates to. Really supportive of eachother(Instagram) And the usual far north banter between them is a crack up.

See alot of his father's traits in him.
His mama was a pretty handy touch player as well.
His father Joe has size for an outside back with electric speed..
He was an Otaika Eagle when I was up north for my short stint,then opportunity knocked for me.
His Koro was our hooker when I made my premiere debut just shy off 17.

Have you got any pre season still shots of him leading the dune runs to back this claim up?
Without those shots, it's gonna be hard to give an indepth analysis on wether he is the next coming of Jesus like was done with Ravutaumada.
Unfortunate for Chanel Harris-Tavita if ruled out, but I am really keen to see Turner get a run and no better opposition than the Dogs.

I think adding some youthful exuberance would be good for the size. He'd be keen to follow the ball carriers, if he gets an offload or any opportunities give him instructions to go for it.
The defense wouldn't know much about him.
We have been going reasonably well the last few weeks. It would probably be one of the better times to debut someone. A side going alright and against a team struggling.
