Get rid of pompey, does sweet fark all! When it was his time to actually do something he passes the ball out to the stands. Shit player! Egan shit too. Tevaga shit. ALL the players off contract this year should be packing their bags n fucking off!!
Every single one of those players you've quoted are signed for next season too so bag packing they are not.

It was almost as if last night the ref decided to blow his whistle and support whoever he felt deserved his support.
When we were 10-0 down we started to get dominance and play with a lot of courage and conviction. The ref seemed to notice and we got three favourable 50 50 calls in a row and he seemed to want to give us a try to reward us for playing so hard. Which then led to Papa dropping the ball with us hot on attack and killing our momentum.
Overall the Panthers deserved to win. Had that game gone another ten minutes we would have tied it. As it was Pompey needed to nail that pass and give Jennings a chance at dashing for the corner.

Great game of league.

To those abusing players for mistakes made. These guys are human, mistakes are going to be made. There are two kinds of mistakes, effort mistakes, which means the guy is trying, the other is careless mistakes. I don't think any player could be accused of a lack of effort.

Always great feeling to get back on Like The Warrriors train. Great effort they put in not like times past with their hands down their shorts. Cant wait for 2021 season to start as could be their best season for awhile. Hey a man's allowed to be positive this far out.

Well done team. The change in the side from the start of the season (and previous) is phenomenal.

Attitude and commitment are there in spades and we are now competitive every week. A few small isses to sort out in terms of execution but I'm sure Toddy is onto it. The Papa drop and Jazz's usual error cost us momentum at critical times plus another week of some dodgy calls stymied a chance of winning. The effort was there though and we made the top side in the comp look ordinary at times.

Imo Burr was on a hiding to nothing there. Without watching the replay think it was Last tackle and they decide to run. The idea was good just not the best execution.

Herbert/Hiku need to be kept and would probably keep Jennings as well. Guy puts in. Haven't really noticed the loss of our two big wingers so far. We seemed to be able to get out of our end with what we have now and there were times last night when we rolled up the field effortlessly.

Biggest change for me is the halves. With Green gone we're seeing more speed and space. KN has really stepped up. The Chanel Harris-Tavita hit reminded me of Mad Jack.

Officiating was pretty gross again. Couple of calls that really did cost us. Their centre offside cost us a try and the Hiku foot was 50/50 at best. The bunker only looked at one angle and the issue of what Hiku does if the whistle hadn't gone should be a consideration. Big disadvantage there

Overall another good solid performance, we're improving every week.

Finally, was noticeable in the 2nd half the Panthers were starting to panic a bit and looked flustered with the fact they couldn't put us away. The penalty goal was a sign of respect.

The challenges!!

We had zero chance of overturning ours - Chanel Harris-Tavita wasn’t ever in control nor was he even over the line when he touched the ball. And I agree with earlier comments re Hiku’s catch. Totally unfair to assess it as a goal line drop out when he was never actually tackled in goal.

To give context to the mistakes, we defended the whole game. Harris 58 tackles; Lawton 45; Jazz stat padding out 42. Another 4 players with 30+ tackes. We did significantly more work than the Panthers players: total tackles - 440 vs 318. 120 extra tackles, that’s 20 extra sets of 6! And the stats don’t say that we were putting effort into our tackles and hitting hard. Rushing out and closing down their options. The 1%ers off the ball that also take energy.

Through it all we didn’t drop our heads or stop trying. I can excuse some errors, particularly towards the end as it was a physically demanding game. Can’t fault the effort.

Fantastic effort, feels so fucking good to be proud of my Team again.

Its been quite some time since I last talked, yelled, screamed and clapped at my TV with as much energy as a teenager getting his 1st root, and I was ready to go again straight away too.

Even at 16 zip the boys looked strong and didnt deserve to be that far behind, especially with the possesion the Panthers had, their kicking game was immense.

Anyone still want to blame the players and not bad Coaching??

Losing Green was a complete blessing.

Shot Kodi and Chanel Harris-Tavita, speaking of whom, that hit was outstanding it fucking bought a tear to me eye and got me semied, "Yea boii" Loved it, he's still got a lot to learn but certainly has a good ceiling.

The usual suspects cant handle the pressure of the big moments and come up with dumb errors or are in the wrong place at the wrong time, the obvious holes they have shored up long term IMO.

Harris should be Captain, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been weighted down by it and his play has suffered as a direct result,

Nice work Todd Payten, the improvement has been amazing really.

Shot Robbo, the Mana is back, loving the direction the club is heading.

Pretty ordinary and in my opinion intentional if not reckless from Luai. I'm hoping that if one of the players saw this at the time, they would of had the balls to confront Luai and make a deal about it. It would have been given way more coverage than the 1 replay that was shown and would have likely earned us penalty, rather than forcing another drop out.
Thought at the time the third ref would look at it and he would be sent off. Definitely deliberate. You don’t accidentally step on someone like that. Another thing just ignored.

It was assault - worse than the racial abuse on the sidelines.

What a turnaround.

I thought SK being fired would have been the straw that broke the camels back in terms of team morale.
4 players leaving for home, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck a shell of himself due to the strains of being away from his young family.

Todd Payton publicly turning down the coaching role, media reports left and right which seemed the new Warriors brass didn't know wtf they were doing.

Then - we sign Nathan Brown/Gus Gould combo. Gus talking about a development pathway simular to what he set up in Penrith (and is now paying dividends).
Brown rolling out the red carpet in terms of recruitment.

Enter Kane Evans and Euan Atkin signings, while being linked to other decent prospects. Gonna have a mean forward pack next season.

Then releasing Green to allow Chanel Harris-Tavita time to develop and Kodi time to shine.

Now we have a team battling every week - beat 2 top 8 contenders and nearly upsetting 2 title favorites in a space of a month.

Team is playing with mana - heart, pride and effort. Not giving up.

A coach who doesn't care about speaking in riddles - just tells it how it is - the transparecy has been refreshing.

Seems like the light he fired under the players during the week paid off last night.

Win or lose - I love watching the lads play as they did last night. Chips stacked against us yet we were right in that game through sheer belief and determination.

I hope Brownie can carry this on to next season - I believe he can, be great if Todd Payton still wants to see out his final year of his contract next season as assistant.

Imagine if he did so and had a change of heart and decides to stay on board the Warriors and take over the reigns after Brownies contract ends? As the initial plan seemed to be before Todd turned it down?

I'm just surprised that in a space of a month we changed from the butt of all jokes, to a real promising club on the rise. A few more signings (halves cover etc) and we will be top 8 contenders TBC.

The brass have been criticised throughout this fiasco - but Crazy Robbo might be on to something here...

I don't think it was deliberate. The foot stomp.

It just happened.

He had to put his foot somewhere, and yes he shortened his stride and his foot ended up stomping kodi, but he did that foot placement on auto pilot. If he put his foot anywhere else, with kodi in his way he would have twisted his foot and landed awkwardly. Are you with me? Do you see where I am coming from or is my point unclear.

After the Sharks game things looked so dire! Outstanding turnaround from the team. They were given every excuse to capitulate all game long and never stopped competing. Really promising considering we will have a better team next year and a lot more time to deal with being based in Aus.

Seems quite possible being based in Aus and not having to travel is helping the team. With a full year to prepare for it next season (very likely), I wonder if we'll be better off than a normal year. Obviously the boys need to play in NZ long term, but it seems like having an aussie base and doing more road trip style draws where they play multiple games in Aus in a row could go a long way to helping the travel issue.

Point taken Wrighty, but Luai steps to the side of Kodi and as you say "shortens his stride." Why would he shorten his stride for any reason other than to deliberately step on Kodi's head? Luai could have continued to step around Kodi and avoid Kodi all together. He wasn't in contention for chasing down the kick through. I could understand the argument if there was some urgency in Luai trying to get to the ball and in doing so accidentally stepped on Kodi's head, but he was no where near the ball and had no urgency in getting to it.

Because if he hadn't have shortened his stride his heel would have partially clipped Kodis head and Jerome would have ended up landing awkwardly and rolling his ankle possibly spraining it.
Yes he chose to stand on Kodis head on purpose no question
But he did so out of self preservation to avoid landing awkwardly and not to hurt Kodi.

It was also happening very fast and instinctive so he might have mistakenly made a calculation.

This article says the racism was extreme and over a continuous period

"The fans allegedly first abused Naden around the 20-metre line as Penrith attacked the Warriors. After seeing Naden point them out to trainer Hayden Knowles, the group allegedly followed the winger to the halfway mark where they continued. "
