Watching the first 20 of the knights game and I've got a few ideas.

Our kick pressure should always be coming from the sideline side of the kicker looking to charge down anything that's not heading into the middle of the field. Put up an obstruction to that play and we'll get our back three working again.

Also kicking to the sidelines doesn't just work against the Warriors. It works the same against any club. We should be doing it more, instead of going straight down the middle every time. Force their wingers to stand wider and that will create more gaps in the middle to kick into.

Lead them around the park so that they can't lead us around the park....

There is a huge whole in this plan.. To be truthful i am a bit surprised you don't see it.

Few doom and gloom merchant criticised this post after the game but wondering if people can reflect now with hindsight. Newcastle are on fire with 5 wins in a row including hammering the Roosters:

Watched the game in a pub with the sound off because of live music and I havn’t read the forum so I’ll give my independant view:

Disappointing but we were not far off. Confirmed - we have won the following 2 games It’s the 1%ers that keep killing us, not lack of intensity like our 2 & 3rd season games. High quality game in regards to handling and intensity for the most part. Proven right both teams undefeated since, Knights in 5 wins in a row. Big lift in intensity 10 minutes into the second half from both teams with the game on the line. Next scorer wins and they scored.

We still could have won in the last 20 but lack of composure again and the score blew out. Poor game management and composure. Green didn’t make the difference! Green is still struggling for form but getting better

3 guys were important to us. Scheck had another great game. Green and Bully are not at their peak and that is the difference. Bully was a factor in the win over the panthers and Green has been better alongside Kodi The teams that are beating us have their leaders performing. Their 1 and 7 outperformed our spine. Newcastle’s leadership group are outstanding at the moment

Green is a worry in that he’s offering little in the way of set plays. We seem to be still all about individual brilliance and with that comes mistakes as we’re pushing to create all the time. Flawed strategy over time.

The young guys all performed ok. Keep them in the team. Chanel is doing well but still has plenty to learn. Won every game since Kodi replaced him unfortunately

Kodi is our only hope for the team and Kearney’s sake. Has had a huge positive impact We are slipping from the top 8 now but I still think a few things click (Kodi ) and we could be competitive. So it has proved We are not a long way off, won the next 2 after the Knights yet it seems so far away...

Probably get hammered by the broncos now
