I was wondering how the time went so fast in that last 20 seconds!

Makes you wonder what is going on the last few weeks, the Knights get magic extra time one week while attacking and we lose time while attacking.

Can’t remember the last time they muffed up the clock. Let alone 2 weeks in row both to our detriment.

Not sure about Papali’i on the edge. Pulu looked more dynamic on the edge last year. Lacks foot work & doesn’t seem smart enough.

Concerned about Blake Green, so slow!! We need speed & the ability to beat a man & create an overlap. I know that edge has changed but last year it was leathal, this year it’s ineffective.

If Ken was put in the forwards, his energy levels would be depleted by having to make a huge number of tackles (is his tackling skill up to it?) and so his metre-making efforts would be very different. One big reason that his stats are so incredible is that he’s a winger.
Bro, I've factored that in. Blair has been just a tackling bot for us. He did fuck all hit ups. And had shit all run metres( Although last night he was the mantis)

Ken was part of the reason he kind of got away with it. Making everyone's metres.

There's no reason we can't hide him in the line most times to save him for those power runs.
Not saying he doesn't do his share of tackling. Just until he's use to it. Big Ken has a pretty big motor.
He'll eventually end up there anyway.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Ken make +400m because the opposition are getting to the 5th tackle then booting it +50m. They get a free ride for a good +20-30m before the defence hits them. Chuck Blair on the wing and he’ll notch up +100m easily doing bugger all...

My point being we’re doing F all
on defence. Teams playing us get really high completion sets which makes our back 3 look great from their ball returns and our forwards poor as they chug their fat arses back 50m. Anyone astute coach potatoe can see this.... SK needs to fix this problem.

People are way too hung up on stats. Including the coach. I say screw the stats for now, throw caution to the wind, go out there, enjoy yourselves and bring home the win...

Rated the game a C. Both teams were shit and deserve their bottom 4 places.

I decided to watch this game away from this site and to treat it like I was watching two other teams play against each other. Hard you might say?? After the last few games this season I am slowly becoming less and less emotionally interested in this team which made it all the more easy to do.

I actually enjoyed the game for the spectacle it was interestingly enough. Sure there was mistakes and silly ones at that, players falling off tackles, missing balls in the in goal that should have been cleaned up ect, but watch any other NRL game that you have no vested interest in and these things happen in just about every game.

I thought Blair was excellent and was having the best game attack wise I’ve seen him play for the Warriors, Hiku we know has always had the attacking flair to him and I thought his defence is getting better with each game. Nikorima was on fire down the left edge, and I would say the reason they didn’t go down there more often in the second half was because the Broncos had made adjustments to shore up that side. Can’t wait for Harris to come back as we are missing him desperately. I was a great advocate for Beale before this game but apart from shuffling the ball on to Fusitua for the try he really doesn’t offer anything on attack.

Warriors at least turned up this game and played with attacking flair which I enjoyed more that Kearney ball they have been playing for most of the season. Let’s hope we put on a great game next week and send the Sharks home with no points.

I really enjoyed last night's game, even though it was a rocks and diamonds type performance. Yes it would have been good to have won bit a point away against the Broncos is a bonus for any team.

Idid see that!! i was saying we have time then it just went well spotted

On one hand I can understand the hate towards Jazz. He makes mistakes at exactly the wrong time, he throws poor offloads from time to time, and he hasn’t got a good enough passing game to be a back up booker.

On the other hand, he’s an absolute fucking workhorse and been a shining light in the last two years. This guy is putting up phenomenal numbers & gets no recognition from 80% of you guys.

90 mins in the middle, 184 metres and 72 tackles - are you fucking serious? These are insane numbers, and the fact that since he’s been given that 13 jerseys this is the standard he pumps out.

Sure, he’s got mistakes in his game. He was given a contract from an open trial, and has only been in the squad for 2-3 years. He’s young and has a lot to grow in his game.

But for fuck sakes, don’t question this guys attitude and effort, every bloody week. This is the type of player the warriors need. Fuck the flashy shit and the rocks/diamonds player of the warriors yesteryear. This guy is all grit, effort, hard work & heart.

I’d choose this guy over most locks in the comp. I get that some may find this laughable but these numbers are too hard to argue with. I understand the game is more that stats but that’s my exact point. These stats resemble something far deeper; he’s got heart, and passion and rips in and gives 120% every fucking time.

Him and Ken have been shining lights in a piss weak 2019.

19 hit ups for 184 metres, given defence is 10 metres back moving forward, thats less than 10 metres a carry. This means he hardly bends the defensive line because his style is turning and twisting instead of running full on at the gap. Actually I saw him take the gap a couple of times where he happened to gain more yardage.
But It's not his work ethic thats in question it's his smaller build and error penalty rate that is his downfall. One error in particular yesterday that cost us a "possible: sitter at a drop goal. You saw it on his face he knew he blew that moment. His smaller body means he is more effective taking a hit up when the player before has bent the defensive line.
Not a fan of him being in the starting line up, he's played better coming off the bench. But I think that stems from us having 2 similar body types in Papalii on the field at the same time. In short Jazz needs to cut out his error rate and penalties, he's giving away far to many I fear for my TV set everytime he does
.
That game was similar to last week where it was a game of two halves. Last week dominating Newcastle in the 2nd this week we dominated the 1st half.
Imagine when, if, we got our shit together and dominated both halves but games are never like that. ie: Sharkies stemming the Storm attack to catch up on the scoreboard only for the Storm to take back control and run away with the game. This is what we need to get better at doing and for periods in the second half we did take back control only to produce an error that killed momentum giving that control back.
Doubt there will be any changes next week but hoping Herbert is ready to return vs Shaun's lot. The boys will be wanting to win this one in particular, we play the Sharkies twice over the next month I think.

I havn't watched Kearney's presser but surely theres noway hes happy with that performance, 18 errors and 64% completion rate. I'm not sure who is stupider, the Warriors or me for watching these replays the day after every week thinking i'll learn something from watching it again.

This is Ken's break just after 2nd half kick off. He has Milford turning, and instead of turning him inside out all the way back to the try line, he cuts inside too far and we lose momentum.

Put through the hands here to the right and it's a try

Problem using single frames you cant tell the speed of the ball through the hands.

There were tons of plays where we had overlaps but our passing through the hands was slow.

They need to practice quick ball through the hands, draw and pass, get it to your wingers... really basic school boy stuff...

True, but we've seen the edges with quick passes. You are right about single frames, but I only chose spots where there were options to take.

Just trying to highlight that if the gameplan was to test the edges, it was the right one.

We simply weren't taking the right option at the right times, and failing to complete sets.
