Great. *sigh* Hey, we didn't lose! hahaha

Well at least that game demonstrated one thing fairly clearly, that we don't need a big bopper. (It's obvious that that would be an unnecessary waste of money, much better spent on a classy centre.) We made more metres more easily than the Broncs, despite them having their much-vaunted big bopper packed pack. But then we went and threw that massive advantage away, with an incredible number of errors and - as we've seen so much this year - consistently poor 5th tackle options. (It's time to give Chanel Harris-Tavita more time. More practice isn't going to help Greeny, Chanel needs it.)

Kodi had a great game (aside from the missed field goal attempts), always looking the man most likely to when he had the ball, which was more often than he's had it up until now. He's developing well.

I hope Ken is good! Head knock? Braith Anasta, you're a prize pillock. The swinging arm of Turpin was fairly obvious, wasn't it, Braith? Ken, you're easily a better player than Manu ever was. He guaranteed a couple of errors every game. It wasn't your best day today, but it was still pretty good, until you got hit.

Chris Sutton behaved himself, thank God, even giving us some penalties at key moments. His one major howler was not giving a penalty when in a tackle Hiku had both legs above his head, right in front of Sutton. Then the bunker fouled up again saying that Papa knocked on. Like fuck he did. If someone waves a finger at the ball it doesn't necessarily mean they touched it. That officiating error cost us the match. But then every one of our errors did, too, and I reckon we made more of those than the Broncs and refs combined.

But hats off to the boys for getting all that field position and for never giving up. Big plusses compared to earlier years, eh?

Absolutely shit from both teams. NZ Warriors had all ascendacy in that game and somehow managed to almost go on and lose it. No way that should of been draw. That should of been complete and total annihilation of Brisbane Broncos. That we didn't tells you just how crap this team still is.

NZ Warriors.

:(

Dare i say it best player tonight Adam Blair?

Apart from drop kicking bricks Kodi was a constant danger tonight......we shouldve kept going his way but it looked like old man Green wanted his 90% quota of ball.

Lol seriously forgot Beale was playing until that last play in the 90th minute.....carnt's invisible.

Our success down the left hand side was part good work from our guys, also some defensive weaknesses with the Broncos. Whatever it was it would of been good to kept trying to set it up and keep going down there.

Nikorima looked good, mainly when he was running and during the period we were attacking their left with success in the first half. To be honest a lot of that was probably a guy playing against his old club with a point to prove. Hope to be wrong as we need something to help us create something.

The telling stat was the 2 points we scored in the second half. It didn't look like we could hold from scoring. We needed to be able to create some more points, it seems we often have a good period but then either run out of ideas, get to fancy, or can't create anything again.

Issac Luke had a shocker! Drop the ball on the try line & too loose in defence.

How many minutes did Jazz play? It felt like he was on the field the whole time.

Not sure why people are giving Kodi shit, he played well. Might have missed the kicks but not as if anyone else put there hand up

Without Kodi's speed and ability to create an overlap we've got absolutely nothing in attack apart from Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

Need more speed and skill, not bagging the guy who has it.

No a huge fan of Chanel Harris-Tavita but it’s time to find anyone half capable that is quicker than Koro kakariki he just kills moment too often (not that he doesn’t try hard).
Oh how much difference a fast winger, younger quicker half and a meter eating intimidating prop or 2 would make

That drop ball on our tryline was shit. I thought rog had it covered. Pulled out last second, giving Luke a split second to grab it. Weird bounce of the ball. But he had it took his eye off the ball then dropped it.

And those weak as fuck tackles. First Papalii, Then Luke , Then Green. Not totally Luke's fault.

I thought the first half Luke, Green & Blair made some huge tackles for us. Second half, Different story. Although Blair was enormous the whole game. Big motor.

Think the Maumalo injury ruined the combinations and spark down that side, Chanel Harris-Tavita was thrown in the deep end at Center there and if there’s one position you can be shown up it’s there

I can see the bones of a good team in our lot, this year is toast and recruitment is gonna be key for us. We matched up to a pretty good forward pack tonight they never looked like running through us. Kodi was creating gaps everywhere albeit against pretty ordinary defence, Fusitua looked more interested, Ken was a beast after a slow start, LAM had some good footwork, even Blair had some good periods. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck finding form. Hiku so hard to stop.
We need a decent hooker with a footy brain to lead us. Jazz has heart but is getting manhandled, we cant keep using him for hitups, I dont really know what we do with him, he certainly has a mistake in him. Beale is nothing, gotta let him go.
We need a mongrel second rower\loosey. Papalii offers nothing in attack, we will be better when Tohu Harris returns.
Was an exciting game, not the greatest quality but at least we got some Warrior ball back.
I think the losing of the game was Ken going off and moving Hiku to the wing, we had nothing on attack that side after that.

Agree with the sentiments about Kodi having a good game. His attacking the line was putting players into space down the left. It seemed like they couldn’t recognise how to position themselves on the field to regularly go back there and instead had to wait for the play just to evolve. Given Green and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck seem to be the premeditated plan on the right, Kodi should of had more chances down the left.

How much different another centre with Hikus attacking skills on the other side of the field

Yeah just slows it down too much, playing split halves let Kodi shine, as soon Green tried his Thurston impersonation playing both sides he killed the speed and space and we went off the boil.

Kearney is a muppet, Kodi is perfectly capable Kiwis half, yet he is second fiddle to a 34yo journey man

Another centre that can create opportunities for his winger is one of the holes in our roster that needs to be addressed. Make us dangerous on both sides of the field.

Look at our two wingers and the opportunities each of them have been provided in 2018, 2019. Move Hiku and that winger gets more ball. We looked like a right handed side last year, this year it's like we are left handed.

Hiku is great at running to or through the tackle, drawing 2 defenders and passing in traffic
