Anyone see Kearney on the news tonight when interviewed about this weekends game - someone questioned him about lack of attack or the likes and he was not impressed - he's a scary man when you anger him, he gave the person asking the question a death stare that would freak the bejusus out of Darth Vader. . Think our backs are better than the Broncos but they have a better forward pack. Going to be a good game and will be a nice for the tribute to Quentin Pongia.

Agree. Regardless of who wins it will be a great game. Two evenly-matched teams, in many respects.

If the Warriors win, it will definitely make me sit up a bit straighter and take notice. They will become genuine top 8 contenders.

If the Broncos win, well, I won't be ready to write off the Warriors' season just yet. Will be more of a philosophical "let's see how they regroup and perform after the bye."

No I didn't, but I like the idea of a death stare.

I remember when Des Hasler gave it to a Kiwi scribe after they won at MSS a few years ago. It shows SK is feeling the pressure and is giving the edge in response, gotta love it. Bennett treated the press like shite so SK has learned from the master.

Also, any question about lack of attack with this team is a bit lame anyway, it isn't the attack we have lacked, it is go forward.

You guys missed my point. The post was about high skill level combined with weak mentality, in relation to our team. The first example was Michael Campbell, an amazing talented golfer but with weak mentality. However he was so good he won the US Open, that is like winning 10 GFs in a row, and then some.

Our unnamed poster scored some amazing innings, when he felt like it, and some of them were in very difficult circumstances, but he was no Glenn Turner or Bevan Congdon who were as tough as they come, and heyzeuss spare me I would like to see Congdon (RIP) go toe to toe with Brian Smith. I remember one dry Pom commentator saying about Congdon, he does have a weak point, when he is on 170!!!!

Now before I get banned, back to topic, if SK has this team rid of the dropped lips (some of which he has, two suspects are not playing this week), and Blair decides to pull finger (which I think he will) this could be a very good win, but there is still a lot of work to be done with the overall mentality, maybe including the coach.

Bullshit, it would be impossible in the modern era to win 10 grand finals in a row, as for the US Open any of the players could win it on their day, hence M. Campbell.

Were 10th and in form on a couple of games streak, yet ranked 12th. Power rankings are not the ladder but should weigh more heavily those on form, hence we should be above our ladder ranking.

Most of his statements are correct, except if we won for a month, then he would want to see us win for another few weeks... cause that’s the way he ranks when it’s the warriors.

The Broncos - same points on the table, worse points differential and I see the teams as even in form. Hard game to call. We should be in a similar position on his table yet we’re 12th and they are 7th.

We’ve won 4 games this season against 16th 15th 14th and 12th. Our wins don’t weigh heavily because we’ve only beaten rubbish teams. I’m not a Soward fan but I think he’s about right with 12th for now.

If that’s the way we rank it, we haven’t lost to 7,8,9,10,11 so there’s no reason we shouldn’t be ranked 7th

In fact looking at it, we’ve only lost to top 6 teams, except the cowboys.

This game might be similar to the dragons game in that those power forwards with Seg could very well roll our middle early, we need to play like that 2nd half and cut them thru their middles as they tire, then hit them wide.

the Broncos worked extremely hard last weekend, they will tire.

Not gonna be an easy game. I'm picking Jazz to play big minutes. Luke needs to be on point. Kicking needs to be much better but kicking straight to Darius could be an option, IF the chase is solid.

Not a huge difference but Dragons were 8th when we played them

Not really worried about the size of the Bronco's pack. They are big but inexperienced and it's obvious in games where they have been well beaten that they don't handle adversity well when things don't go their way and fall in a heap even against smaller packs. We have enough agility and speed around the ruck to cause their big boys to make terrible decisions around the ruck- which is exactly how smaller teams like the Tigers have beaten them. Last year this game has been won by the time that turns up. They turned up at Mt Smart last year and we turn up at Suncorp in the corresponding game to give them return serve. I get the feeling that one of the 2 sides won't turn up. I just hope its not us.

To be expected but happy with the team picks, considering whos available.
Could be a coaches battle here.. SK, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Bully even dare I say it Blair etc.. need to earn their money here by getting our boys to play with 80 min intensity.
There was still heaps of mistakes v Panfers to fix, got away with it then. Can't afford a repeat in this game if Broncs turn up to play.
Yet should be a good gauge on far the teams responded since KN joined up to solidify the halves. Been positive so far... lets gone Worryerz..
