Was great fun watching Manly lose their composure and their cool. But the game also made me hate Manly just that little bit more. With their pathetic attempts to milk penalties, their crybaby tosser tactics, and their generally pissy behaviour.
I hate all the whining and carrying on. Manly were big on that last time Hasler was coaching them. Might be part of Hasler's build a seige mentality. Every penalty was followed by cries of "How can you possibly penalise us" like its the refs insulting them not them breaking the rules.

Mitchell having a very rough night at 5/8. Meanwhile Ponga has looked so good since moving out of the halves and back to fullback. It is a warning to the few people who suggested Roger Tuivasa-Sheck end up in the halves. Sure Lockyer did it, but it takes someone exta special to be able to move into the halves mid career and make a real go of it
If you move your clubs superstar like that you take the risk of things not going to well. Then the coach has the decision to persevere or move the player back. Bennett persevered with it and it worked. He also had a reasonably experienced player. Brown wisely moved Ponga back, despite the few scattered performances for the Cowboys he's in his 2nd or 3rd year of first grade.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has shown some nice passing skills which shows he's improving his game from just a runner and stepper. It could work but we struggle enough game to game imagine the media pressure or sack the coach discussions if we moved him and struggled.

Is that some kind of wartime code from when you were in the French Resistance Bruce or just the ramblings of a lunatic watching the league with Yvonne and a good stiff brandy?
Nah, just explaining that wanting to win, and really wanting to win are two very different things.

Wouldnt take much out of this, Roosters were without Cronk ]

It has a chance of working.... But he is ranked 2nd best fb in the game and 2nd hardest player to tackle in the recent players poll, wouldn't be putting that at risk.
Because of Lockyer many just assume talented superstars can move to the halves, their are a string of pretty good players who tried but never totally came off.

Would prefer Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to focus on being the next Billy Slater, rather than trying to follow Lockyer

Yeah, how that wasn't a penalty - looked like he gave him a head butt on the way down too - he does some really dumb shyte Hargreaves, like the penalty in the first half for pulling Pongia's headgear whilst looking straight at the ref. Glad the Knights won, thought they played well - nice go forward.

I thought it was great JWH nailed him, newie obviously targeted Keary to rough him up. Got to show the opposition there are consequences so they’ll second guess that tactic next time.

The amount of time Shaun Johnson got nailed over the years and no one did shit...

Wish we had someone like that at the warriors.

Looks like this is the round of upsets/underdogs. Cowboys leading the Raiders. Are the Warriors favourites or outsiders against the Broncs?

Cricketers looking good in the warm up game vs India.

And, the NSW curse is doing it's best to decimate the Halves for the blues - Reynolds looks done in the Souths game.
