Would have been the tactic... and it was only a trial...I noticed this too. It seemed that all the pressure was taken off AK. I think given time he’ll offer more.
For a start kicking distance. His ground kicks were long compared with what I recall from Shaun Johnson, although that will be borne out in the proper stats on Saturday. Kicking distance saves the forwards having to run as far to put us in the end zone.Thinking more about this, I'm not really happy with AK playing. Watching him during the trial, he was a spectator when partnered with Green. Yes he's probably the safer option but I'm really struggling to see what else he offers.
Yes, bloody hope they are looking for 35-40m per kick and not Shaun Johnson's 10, perhaps 15 with a tail wind... Absolutely crazy to use up the next three tackles getting to where you should have been...For a start kicking distance. CTH couldn't tackle - he was exposed on D I thought.Thinking more about this, I'm not really happy with AK playing. Watching him during the trial, he was a spectator when partnered with Green. Yes he's probably the safer option but I'm really struggling to see what else he offers.
So if Green is targeted, which he will be, we are in trouble.
We could easily lose this game.
The TAB have Green out. Is that correct?
From the NRL Scientist:We're paying $1.55 and he's still listed as an option for First Tryscorer?
It will take a whole season for AK to become that guy, even Lino was completely invisible until his last year at the Warriors.
