Apart from a quick scoot here and there, an average passing game, I don't see that much either with Roache. I don't see Roache being more than an impact hooker for the rest of his career.

Papalii is another overrated forward, he's amazing for what he is, very young, otherwise his running game sucks.

Pulu and Sao are way better.

Oh well up the Warriors, I'll be amazed if we can roll over the dogs, they are always better than us up front and we hardly ever beat them.

It seems like they are implying that despite the jersey they are named in, they will be swapping sides...as per the trials. Seems to be an assumption though. Maybe it's a case of one of the jersey sizes being bigger and therefore that player who was fitted for it being given it. Seems comical but it happened with a Warriors player before didn't it?

Agreed. Plus there are many upsets in the early rounds. The better teams don't hit their stride at the start of the season so If warriors want to be in the finals, they better bank the early points on offer.

I have confidence in the 'process' but have no idea how things will pan out Saturday. Some are dissing the Dogs which is always a mistake.

If our guys can set a platform up front, and other than Burr are experienced regular first graders, then we should be OK.

bulldogs fans saying this is the weakest team they have ever seen from the warriors. Interesting to note how little other teams fans pay attention to us. I guess from the outside looking in with no Shaun Johnson it would look weak. However from the progress we have made last year plus our trial form we shouldnt lose this one.

We’re the classic ‘sum of all the parts’. Fitter, stronger, defensively tighter .

Opposition fans and commentators may write us off but after last year the other teams will be aware of how we’re building

Losing Johnson will also mean the opposition would need to do some more scouting. Previous years a lot of their focus would of been how to stop Johnson. Now they will be doing some more homework to see what changes we've made. Swapping Kata and Hiku/Harris will throw things a bit as well as they'll be marking different guys.

Round 1 most teams will probably focusing on their own changes, like we will be.

Hopefully with our focus on improving our starts we come out of it pretty well off like last year.

The first few weeks are usually all over the place as teams that lose round 1 are pissed they wasted all of their off season and put out a poor round 1 end up turning it on in round 2. Sides are bringing in new systems or introducing new players.

Still makes me laugh though as you will still get some experts saying one of the teams is going to have a tough year on the back of a few rounds. A few years ago the Storm got thrashed and had a few losses "Have we seen the last of the great modern Storm side". They go deep into the finals.

I know right? I mean not saying we are world beaters at the moment but for a team many are tipping for the spoon the Dogs supporters are carrying on like they’re premiership contenders.

They did finish last year in fine form, after a season of disarray. I hope we don’t get a nasty surprise on Saturday

By the sounds of it AK will get an extended crack at that number 6 jersey. So I wouldn’t expect Chanel Harris-Tavita to feature until at least round 8. Who knows by then Paul Turner might of outshined Chanel Harris-Tavita in ISP?

I still think O’Sullivan’s master plan is for our starting halves to be Paul Turner and Dylan Brown come 2021.

Yeah, I always find it funny when people react to the journalists wooden spoon predictions as well. It wouldn't matter who they put - there will always be a selection of fans crying foul. Every team has shifted up and down the ladder over the years. The only team that has remained a constant threat every year are the Storm - who happened to cheat for a while and also had two future immortals playing for them. Will be interesting to see how they go this year now they are down to one.

As for this weekends game the Bulldogs are certainly no write-off. Lachlan Lewis pipped us last year in a game we probably should have won (or not if you are a Bulldogs supporter).
