I'd only have Jackson and Napa over our boys out of that team. Ayshford is a bit of a bolter. Is he back row cover at a pinch? Otherwise, if carrying a back prefer Beale.

Taking my warriors eye patch off I'd have to take foran and Lewis over AK- he hasn't even played first grade yet
For similar reasons lichaa ahead of roache.
In the fowards CHN and sue would be sure things.
Never been a big Tolman fan but his stats are always massive- couldn't see burr or lisone getting a spot over him.
Overall id give us a slight advantage but I don't think there's that much in it tbh.
Home ground advantage should get us over the line.

I think aysh is jjust there as cover , he might see 10 mntes or so. Papalii will take his or burrs spot.
I thought they would keep au Mau on the bench - he is a bench specialist imo.
My only real WTF is the 3/4 conundrum.

The teams look quite evenly matched IMO it should be a good game.
I must say its the most pessimistic Ive been in 25yrs, glad he named Bunty to start but a tad confused, Big Spams the only impact player and he lost games with his bench use last year IMO.

Man Pulu's stock's appear to have fallen.

Pre injury he had that left side hummin....actually looked dangerous. He was like Tohu Harris but on the left. Burr must be training the house down.....which is all well and good, now lets see what he can do on the park.

Wouldn't surprise me (barring injury) if Ayshford doesn't get on the park. Kearney's not scared/batshit crazy/interchange visionary (take your pick) to run a 3 man bench.

Apart from our obvious strike out wide team looks a bit bland to me, still......should be too strong at home for the dogs tho.

i think the bench will change come game day

how the F@ck does Lisone get a spot, well at the moment ??

does he have that great a pre season or 10 minutes here or there in a trial that warrants a spot round one ??

i was positive he had cemented a spot in reserve grade

Luke is a massive out.
There's gonna be a lot riding on Roache- never seen what all the fuss is about with him tbh- hopefully on the weekend he'll show me.
Apart from a quick scoot here and there, an average passing game, I don't see that much either with Roache. I don't see Roache being more than an impact hooker for the rest of his career.

Papalii is another overrated forward, he's amazing for what he is, very young, otherwise his running game sucks.

Pulu and Sao are way better.

Oh well up the Warriors, I'll be amazed if we can roll over the dogs, they are always better than us up front and we hardly ever beat them.

If the forwards can get a roll we should be OK. Start as you mean to go on, completions are key. As is defence.

Roache and AK need to concentrate on doing things accurately. Firepower is never a problem with the Warriors, it is willpower. That just came to me, my head hurts now.

I think it is more likely Lawton than Ayshford.
I'd prefer that as well if they make a late swap. Lawton can cover dummy half to spell Roache should also be able to cover the halves and centre.

Tevaga can then stick to his normal middle role. I don't mind him playing dummy half if it's to spell Luke who is usually on the field for long stints so Tevaga is fine to spell him for a short period. When Luke is out injured I'd prefer two dummy halves.

Blair or Harris being rested or injured could be covered by Burr.

bulldogs fans saying this is the weakest team they have ever seen from the warriors. Interesting to note how little other teams fans pay attention to us. I guess from the outside looking in with no Shaun Johnson it would look weak. However from the progress we have made last year plus our trial form we shouldnt lose this one.
Napa is not the player he once was, he was lucky to make the grand final 17 last year. Also Montoya in the centres, lol
Warriors 13+ (after 70 mins, 1-12 fulltime)

Never rated Ayshford but honestly he was pretty solid at second row in the trial, played it nice n tough, and he's done ok in little stints there before.
Obviously in to cover the backs as well, but he wouldn't be in my 17.

It's round 1 so there'll be tweaking as the rounds kick on so I'm sure Pulu and Sao (hopefully SK has forgiven him for whatever the heck he did to get blackballed last year) will get there shot soon.
In saying that, we could lose 6 in a row and Coach could keep the same team.

Expecting warriors to win a close one on the back of home ground advantage. Both teams will finish within an earshot of each other come the end of regular season. Easiest draw of all teams in the first 4 weeks. If we don't win atleast 3 out of the 4 against pretty average teams, start saving up for next season's tickets.

Trial form? lol....

A lot of teams carry a back these days. We are carrying Ash who can cover ctr and 2rf, so don't see any harm in that and doubt he'll see excess minutes. Nothing flashy but will get the job done. Not to fussed about the numbers, chances are will shuffle around come game day.

Up the Warriors, see you chaps and chapettes on Saturday.
