Isaiah Papali'i has been stood down by the Warriors for Saturday's game against the Bulldogs at Mt Smart Stadium.
Warriors coach Stephen Kearney confirmed the decision at a press conference after the team finished their training session at Mt Smart Stadium on Tuesday morning.
Kearney wouldn't reveal the reason why Papali'i won't be available for selection for this weekend's fixture, but said it is something being dealt with internally by the club.
Papali'i didn't take part fully in the training session.

anyone know why? i just hope he was late for training!

Drink driving ugh.. what a way to start the season. I've been looking forward to him going well this season too.

Well there goes a lot of people's predicted lineups!

Hopefully it is something that simple.

The report on NZ herald reported it was during the Christmas holiday period when he was at Rhythm and Vines.
Had gone to move the car the morning after and got tested and got done. A bit different to going to the pub for a few hours and then deciding to drive home, but as Kearney said, its low level but its still drink driving nonetheless, Hopefully he'll want to make it up and come out firing when he gets picked!

Intrigued to see how Burr goes assuming he gets picked for Papps!

I really don’t like Burr, but if there’s a time for him to excel and force me to chow down on humble pie, it’s round one against his former club. I hope he kills it and fills me with shame for dreading him being named.

I’d also have gone with Sao over Bam Bisone but he must have run over SK’s dog, I guess.

Interesting team in that there are a ton of unknowns for the first time in a few years. Hopefully rocks over diamonds.
