Raiders: 1 Jack Wighton, 2 Nick Cotric, 3 Jarrod Croker (c), 4 Joseph Leilua, 5 Jordan Rapana, 6 Aiden Sezer, 7 Sam Williams, 8 Iosia Soliola, 9 Siliva Havili, 10 Shannon Boyd, 11 Josh Papalii, 12 Elliott Whitehead, 13 Luke Bateman

Interchange: 14 Blake Austin, 15 Junior Paulo, 16 Dunamis Lui, 17 Liam Knight

Reserves: 18 Joseph Tapine, 19 Ata Hingano, 20 Michael Oldfield, 21 Royce Hunt
You'd think Leilua would be needing to pass a fitness test later in the week, so Oldfield may end up on that edge. Maybe Tapine has a fitness test to pass aswell??

Battle of the benches

Paulo vs Paasi
Knight vs Lisooorne
Lui vs Afoa

Pretty even really, will be interesting.

Yeah I have a feeling that Leilua, Tapine and Hingano may be in there to waste some time in the video sessions/planning for the Warriors this week and won't be there come Saturday.

God there's some ordinary defenders in that line up- I can see us putting some points on them.
The key is going to be going with them at the start- they're big, desperate and at home so they're gonna come out firing.
I just can't seee them handling the offloads with Luke, Shaun Johnson and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck sniffing around the ruck.

Canberra have some points in them so a good test for our defense. Hopefully a repeat of the weekend.

They also leak a lot. Hopefully previous posters who have mentioned their fitness are right and if we are behind we run over the top like has happened with the Titans and the Knights. It would be nervous stuff but 2 points is 2 points and we haven't had a nice win in the dying moments for a while.

Couldn't agree my bro

The blueprint to beat these jokers has been set

- Contain them for the first 15-20 mins of each half

- Wait for their unfit bigs to inevitably run outta steam

- Put some hurt on them at the back end of each half

Ironically enough that's the more or less the same blueprint every other team in the comp would've had to beat the Warriors in years gone by

Not so much anymore though ... In Corvo We Trust

Can Score a lot of points.

Can concede a lot of points.

Who understands the psychology pf that better than the Warriors ?

We got this.

Canberra look pretty good on paper just need to put a few early point on them and their confidence dips pretty quickly

I like the team and the changes made, if possible this makes us stronger.

People may not like Jazz but he brings more experience than Cook and plays with enthusiasm.

I'd be really surprised if we lose this (can't believe I just wrote this) due to our fitness, watching the Raiders, they do have some problems, and what ever we do, don't kick to Rapana!

After watching Canberra in the weekend the key to stopping them is getting numbers on Shannon Boyd. The bloke seems to be 3 times bigger than everyone else. He reminds me of T Williams from the rage all stars on Lomu rugby.

Agree. If our fitness is as good as we have been led to believe under Corvo than this is the way to go. We had them on the backfoot last year in the first half. They were kicking the ball dead on the 3rd or 4th tackle with 10 to go. The complete mental breakdown of our boys in the 2nd half is just unexplainable but fitness wise we had em pegged.

If we can keep our focus this time round we should blow them off the park late in the game.

As always it all comes down to the pack and the outside backs running it straight at their big boys all game. Big kicks from Shaun Johnson and strong defence down their end and they will soon tire. There is no doubting the fire power in the backline but they have to earn the right first by working the middle, tiring their pack to make easy yardage then throwing it wide when their outside backs have to compensate in defence for the weakened middle.

As you pointed out this is pretty much a blueprint reversal for our team...

I watched Tevaga a bit last weekend in reserves and was not impressed but to be fair i'm guessing he may be there because he has been playing more minutes and his motor would be a bit bigger than some others at the moment, so i hope he does well. :)
